Just got into Supertramp with the Retrospectacle album, and it's possibly the best album I own. It's hard to pick out songs, 'cause they're all so damn good- and original. From Bee Gee's esque disco, to Gone Hollywood which sounds like Deep Purple, to You Win, I Lose which sounds like Phish.... It's got everything.

Really recommend 'em. Anyone else love 'em?

I don't like Supertramp. I mean the music is pretty good at times, but I can't stand Roger Hodgson's voice. "Bloody Well Right" is a good song. Why didn't they do more songs like that?

Oh yeah. Favorite song is Goodbye Stranger and fav albums Id say tie between Even in the Quietest Ms and Breakfast in America.

I love Hodgson's voice. I kind of think all those guys, Anderson with Yes, Geddy Lee with Rush, etc had great vocal range and some serious instrumental skills.

Supertramp Fool's Overture live is amazing.

Try Crime of the Century, it's probably the best album they made.

Jon Anderson and Geddy Lee had great vocal ranges, but they also had great voices. Roger Hodgson may have a great vocal range, but there's something about the sound of his voice that I just can't stand.

Yeah I know there are quite a few people who feel that way about Hodgson but I've always dug him.

Talk about Anderson, I picked up some Vangelis a while back and really got into it for a while. I love variety and creative formats and something like Friends of Mr Cairo with Andersons soaring voice just makes me smile.:)
