What is the symbol found on many brand names designating the product as Kosher? Is it the "u" with a circle around it? I need to find out as soon as possible. thanks guys.
There are many different hechshers, but one of the most common is a circle with a u in it (also one of the most widely accepted.) This page has some other symbols: http://www.kosherquest.org/html/Reliable_Kosher_Symbols.htm
most Jews will accept the U-O or the K Scroll K and the vads are more reional. Hope you had enough info when you needed it!
