how's Algonquin Park in september? just wondering what the bugs are like and how's the weather? any c/o optional areas if weather permits? what about sightseeing thanks bud
I love that park! I went there a couple years ago during the fall and injested copious amounts of mushrooms and just melted into the nature around me.
so so beautiful in the fall. Bugs (ie mosquitos & blackflies) are only around in the spring and early summer. However, you may want to think about reserving a campsite, there are so many tourists here in the fall. check out their website. bring lots of sweaters!
algonquin park kicks ass any time of the year....ok i lied....its pretty damn cold in the winter but its canada...september is good, pretty well all bugs are gone, and the heat is much nicer than summer, and the scenery is amazing, because the leaves are turning colour, etc.
actually I reall like the park in the winter, throw your gear on a tobaggan, grab your snowshoes and bundle up, it's great bugs arn't really out by fall, the nights are too cold for them dress and pack for winter when you go in the fall, winter will sneak in every now and then
Algonquin Park is beautiful any time of year, but esp in autumn... with all the leaves changing and such...
I'm pretty sure that if you go early enough in september you'll be in time for their last "wolf howl". It's really weird, but it's surprising too. I've never seen that many people be absolutely silent.
I went up to this really crazy old dudes place in the hills, and we were stoned and drunk out of our trees. It was really beatiful. Some kind of house, and a gorgeous rock garden. I want to get married there. It was gorgeous.
