Live to die, die to live! There is no life/death duality... only tranformations in conciousness, a conciousness that is only one, ONENESS!
Well...death is the only certain thing in life, it's what we're ultimately working towards. I think death is viewed too negatively, death isn't something to be feared, it's something to be admired and respected.
Our aim is evolution, but we have to face a big hurdle: we have to evolve to the point where when the physical body dies we continue, albeit in a higher dimension. How does one do that? You start by understanding the indestructability of energy, and realizing that we are basically energy constructs, especially our minds/our intelligence. Having faith in an afterlife is fine....but wouldn't you feel better if you could logically prove its possibility, and if you could then logically work out a plan to achieve what I call Practical Immortality? There's your aim right there.....
Death is a part of/end of life, yes, but the end is not necessary the object of an activity. for example, in football/soccer, there is a time limit. lets say the limit is 1 hour. while the game WILL end in 1 hour (unless it goes into overtime), the object of the game is not the end of the game. the object of the game is making more goals than the other team. that is the object of soccer. at least, thats the object that most people give it. however, you dont HAVE to follow that object. you can declare the object to be number of kicks rather than number of goals, or number of tackles, or number of anything. you dont even need an object. in fact, you dont even need to play the game. you can just sit in a corner and read a book instead. of course, your team will kick your ass. but that's just a social repercussion of your thoughts-filtered-into-reality. If you want the object of the game to be end-of-time, well, so be it. if you want to spend the time exploring yourself, well, your choice. wanna help society? sure! wanna be a businessperson? dude, go ahead. it could be anything else you want it to be. its all in the mind. peace
The aim of everything is not death, but to live and survive. death is not something most things aim for, it is simply something that is inevitable. and we continue to live because we can and its all we have, appreciate life and all it gives you.
hmmm..well - I uncomfortably passed away 2 and a half years ago during a motorbike incident in France however I remain in some kind of limbo, something still drives me to post new threads on hipforums - where i am now it is quite easily done,we dont reside in physical reality anymore- I do not even own a computer and would not be able to use one anymore if I did - there are still some things i have to say here,I have learned before i move on to the next stage of perception
Death is the price we pay for being multi-cellular creatures. From the time we are fertilized-eggs to birth different layers of cells live and die in precise order in order to grow from egg to infant. After we are born the process continues for the remainder of our lives. Red blood cells live less than to weeks. Skin cells grow, die and then become the tough outer coat we call skin...only to be sloughed off and replaced in a continous cycle. white blood cells engulf foreign germs and kill them but often die in the process. The lining of our intestines is constantly replaced and renewed. All of this and more continues for our entire life untill the body ceases to be able to replicate cells as fast as they die...then sadly, we die. Our unique difference is that we have a mind that can grasp the inevitable outcome of our brief existance. We ponder the "why" of our existance but that "why" is lost in the six hundred million years from the time of the original comromise to become multi-cellular until now...want to know why then ask a sponge.
