Meet Faizan Sayeed, the five year old terrorist. A threat to our homeland. Someone who, if left without the supervision of a babysitter, might kill thousands of Americans.

    Welcome to George Bush's America.

On a flight from London to Boston, my friend Farah, a naturalized U.S. citizen, and her American-born sons Furqan (7), Faizan (5), and Farhan (6 months) were detained for almost 2 hours at Logan International Airport by the Department of Homeland Security. The reason: five-year old Faizan's name matched that of an alleged terrorist.

As Farah, already struggling with baby Farhan, tried to explain to the homeland security officer that there is no way a five year old could be a terrorist, the officer answered that while he understood the absurdity of the situation, the law did not allow him any discretion to release Faizan without interrogating all of them! As she pleaded with him, he replied that would-be-killers of thousands of Americans might slip through our borders, and they must be stopped.

But Faizan is five years old. And he himself is American. But that is no defense against the Orwellio-Kafkesquian laws that Bush Jr. has championed, that the Congress has rubber-stamped, and that the Supreme Court that originally appointed him President is likely to uphold.

    But Faizan is Muslim.

And that is his real crime.

    BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY.............

I'd rather they hold someone who's name showed up on a list for
an hour, than to pass them through and have them kill someone, wheather
they be American or not. Just because they were "Natural born Americans"
doesn't mean that their parents were.

(((But that is no defense against the Orwellio-Kafkesquian laws that Bush Jr. has championed, that the Congress has rubber-stamped, and that the Supreme Court that originally appointed him President is likely to uphold. )))

These are the "people" that the "people of the United States" elected to represent them and make these so call "Orwellio-Kafkesquian laws" to protect them.

If you don't like or respect our rules and laws when you come to our country.....
Please...do us all a favor and stay home.

Come on, surely everyone sees the obsurdity of accusing a five year old of terrorism? What's he going to do, hijack some toy stores or something?

"itsme6526" That's terrorist code for something, I know it is.

I'm reporting it, as it's my patriotic duty as an American to do so.

You weren't planning on doing any traveling, were you?

    :D

The above post just goes to show how ineffective and counter-productive the national security measures are in this country. The government has thrust the majority of justifiable intelligence-seeking operations upon the people, then has no idea what to do with the intelligence once it's collected.

While at the same time the administration has ignored the precedented procedures to gain questionable intelligence on individuals who may have no terrorist connections whatsoever, logging this information then expecting it's subordinates to follow the law to the letter.

It shouldn't read "Do us a favor and stay home" it should be "Do yourself a favor" and don't get mixed up in this mess we've allowed to proliforate.

Yep the security got that one wrong.

What I would say however is that the London Bombers were born and brought up in the UK so being American probably isn't enough anymore

    You don't like the laws......stay home...............period.

Every single plan will have flaws. Everyone is human. Errors will occur.
You just have to learn from them, correct them, and hope the system
    improves from it.

so ITSME, u like the laws? n u like the fact that those laws put in place to protect u, are infact, the same laws that will cause you grief. Why? because wen laws are put in place that victimise races and religions, insecurity prevails on both parts- look wot happens wen america gets insecure *iraq*, *vietnam* *afghanistan*. The victimised Religions create fundamentalist and extremist wings- a progression to try and keep order in religions. If your government tried to talk to these terrorist groups to attempt to solve issues rather than to infuriate them, and they refused to talk, then maybe your laws would have a fraction more credibility. But i somehow doubt your laws are put in place for your security- rather for control. Are you looking forward to a country reducing in cultural acceptance?
