curly hair starting point

    ive been pondering letting my hair dread for a few years now...
    and well i just dont know
    supposedly if i dont comb it it will just do it, but the ends dry up and knot first... and .... well
    basically i need some advice


    how should or shouldnt i start?

    just forget about your hair and live you day to day life, then check back, yous have some dread sooner or later

    :) yea you listen to buddah there :) if you want to guide the sections a bit do it by ripping them into sections once they star knotting. with curly hair it will happen pretty quick :)

    i havet comed my hair for months. its still all... umm hairlike.. what should i be washing it with?? i have to wash it because some how woodshavings appear in my hair

    i use a natural soap bar from lush. but just avoid any thing with chemicals or conditioner in it.

    parhap mix up some seasalt andwater andspray on your head occasionally. but patience is the key :)


    oh and wear wooly hats :)

    You could use a shampoo/ soap with tea tree oil in it. It works as a natural astringent, removing oils and residue from your hair, which can slow the dreading process. Like the others have said, it takes time and patience. And wooley hats! ;)

    tea tree!!
    ive only seen tea... shrubbery
