I can find something to respect and admire in all religions, I believe that they are all talking about the same God (or whatever you choose to call it), but when it comes to practice, I can't commit myself to any. I guess I am just questioning the wisdom of trying to walk the path with out a religious practices to guide me.

Just as long as you don't forget you are on a path at all...ya know? As long as you can keep a watch on your mind and dont stray too far from your path, you should be okay. Most people(I assume) aren't mentally strong enough to go at it without some sort of guide (i.e., ritual, scripture). If you have faith in yourself and your spirituality, you should be fine. You should read about Taoism, it's very much about just going with the flow, not much in the way of practice[IMG].
