Ok so there's this girl I've known for a long time. We're really close friends. She asked me out in high school, but back then I wasn't ready for anything serious so nothing happened. The other night she asked me if I had my eye on anyone. I didn't say no.. so later I asked her the same and her answer was pretty similar. I kept asking questions so she would give me hints as to who the guy she had her eye on was. From what she was saying I narrowed it down, and came to the conclusion that this guy could infact be me. The other night she told me she was giving up on this guy because she thought it wouldn't go anywhere, and that this guy was still hung up on his ex girlfriend. She flat out refuses to tell me who he is, and I might be crazy but what I'm thinking is that she's making this guy up and testing me to see what my reaction is, and to see if I show any more interest in her, or jealousy of this 'guy'. Also telling me she had given up on this 'guy' could be a way of saying she's available.. We're always pretty close and affectionate, and she does go out of her way to make physical contact with me, gives me massages, holds my hand, cuddles up to me etc.. I'm thinking I should be straight with her, tell her how I feel and see how things go. Sorry for the long story, but it's been on my mind a bit lately.
just go for it, i mean you two have dated before so you should be able to talk about anything. and if shes all up on you like flys on shit, than definitely ask her out. take her to a movie or grab a bite to eat and see where it goes from there. or maybe you could watch a movie, and like half way through it, give her a kiss on the cheek and see how she reacts youll never know unless you ask! and lifes too short to be wondering all of the time.
we havent dated before, i mean we go out and whatever but we've never officially been a couple if thats what you mean.
oh okay, try putting some moves on her, like hug her often, kisses on the forehead, than tell her how you feel. something like "you know [her name here], i like you a little bit more than a friend... blah blah blah" see where that takes you

Stop the fooling around and go straight to the point. If you like the girl tell her and ask her how she feels about you, u're not kids anymore no need to be making things up or thinking about it too long. I'm sure she likes you, it's pretty obvious so GO FOR IT !
Well I saw her last night, and went for a walk and hung out from around 10pm to 5 am this morning. Things are good. She gave me the most awesome hand massage ever and I gave her a back massage/rub/tickle. So long story short - we made out, chatted, made out some more lol..it was a really good night.
