Any ideas about how to treat irritability pertaining to PMS?
I feel like the next thing that irritates me, I'm going to scream.

ahhhh! i know the feeling, the other day I was shopping and the line was really long and this moron infront of me was returning something and well, any other week I could have handeled it but i was about to chuck my purchases at her. Okay, so what I do is close my eyes, and take deep breaths through my nose. I know it seems simple but it calms my mind.

Try tensing areasd of your body (feet, hands, arms..) and holding it for ten seconds, repeating a couple times...i hear it helps relax the body

    Yoga during menstruation ROCKS!
It helps with cramps and the crazy emotional states (I don't get shitty, I just get ultra sensitive over everything and cry at the drop of a hat)
Google Yoga for women and you will find a bunch of sites that have whole Yoga routines for when you have your period....
    I've never looked back :)

Yoga does help my pms. But you have to be careful not to do certain poses or positions when you are menstruating or about to menstruate.

Well, mainly backbends and stuff that stretches your tummy area too much. When you are menstruating or about to, it's all swollen and you can hurt it by stretching it too much.

There's Celestial Seasonings Mood Mender tea. My sister swears by it. I can't use it because of the chamomile, but it smells heavenly.

I so know what you're going through... I used to never get PMS, but then after my daughter absolutely everything about my body changed. Now I get it so bad that I don't even like MYSELF some days! I think we should reintroduce the concept of the Red Tent. I think everyone involved would be happier. ((((((hugs!!!))))))
    love,

i used to have anger management issues but while i was doing some therapy
on it i learned a good way to calm my bad temper easily.

Things could ALWAYS be worst, when u're losing it start thinking about
funny things like for example Iuvah's story about the grosery store gal.

U're standing right behind this person who is taking forever to accomplish
something and u're against time or just upset cause u want to get it all
over with, start making up stuff in ur head like stuff that could happen
and make it worst. Like the credit card the person is using falls under
the chasier's table and u need to get 5 people to move thee damn thing,
that's kinda funny and it could happen! or that she's trying to sign
something and there's not a single pen in 5 miles around..... LoL
it works for me and controlling my temper!

I think that to be regular on working out would be helpful.

I dont feel that every month, some months just pass and i dont feel any PMS syndromes! But the last 2 months were really tough on me!

I forgot about aerobics and was nervous! This made the PMS really BAD!

When I'm feeling like that I do something that relaxes me like painting or something.

Otherwise just take a moment to yourself to sit down and take deeeeep breaths. It sounds cliche but it works. It really calms your nerves.

Or, I like to rant off on a piece of paper about all the things I "hate" at that moment and it makes me feel better lol. It's better than screaming at someone you care about, but you still get all of your anger out :)

Never hesitate, either to dip into a pint of ice cream [soy if you're veggie :)] and not feel an ounce of guilt about it :-D
