I hate how people are like ur such a hippie, and then ask how many drugs i have taken. and if ive tripped off shrooms and acid. A lot of people just assume ive done a lot of drugs because of the way i look or something. and when i say no. they are like surprised and are like. are u kidding? hippies are supposed to do drugs. i mean im 16, and its not like ive ever been asked to do hardcore drugs. not saying that im going to, but who knows. But the sterotype against us is rediculous. I didnt know what to say to this kid. I was like well... you are in rehab for heroin, im not going to end up like u. The thing that i think is making me mad is that they think im trying to be a hippie, or like a poser. and i def am not a poser. Im just who i am. But If someone asked you, why havnt you done ne drugs yet besides smoke pot, wat would u say? this is just really bothering me for some reason. peace~
same here man, people think im like a crackhead when actually i just act like a stoner so people dont expect anything of me. yeah man the general public, or better yet todays youth, dont know jackshit about what a hippie is or what "they" stand for. it comes from like cartoons and shit like making fun of hippies, but dont even tell what or who they are. Kids are brought up to hate hippies, just like back in the really old days the majority of white kids were brought up to think of blacks as less human or in some cases, like animals. its a fucked up world, so i make my own lol
I know exactly what you are talking. Whenever I am confronted by people like that I just say the truth. I don't hide who I am to fit in, and you shouldn't have to either. Don't worry about those people, they are ignorant and you rock. If they are suprised at your answers just say "Well, yeah I don't give into the stereotypes that 'hippies' are given, and you shouldn't either. Peace.
I should share. Today in class I was asked about drugs.First they asked if I have any crack to sell then they proceded to call me permafry and asked if I do any acid and shrooms to which I answered that I quit doing drugs quite awhile ago.The reason I told them I quit was because when I was open about doing drugs these kids would always be talking about me doing them in class and infront of the teachers and right wing kids which in my situation isn't a good thing because I cultivate magic mushrooms and marijuana so I like to keep low profile and generate as little heat as possible. Anyways after I got done telling them I quit doing drugs this kid snatches my sketchpad filled with pictures of mushrooms,marijuana,and salvia and generally spaced out pictures and right away the kid knew the truth

poeple are alwasy askin me to find them drugs or offering me drugs. it gets kinda anoying, but its become a fun game with me now. i just come up with creative responses that makes them look dumb.
last year this girl asked me if i do drugs and like to run around naked. im just like "the hell are you talking about?" and then she preceded to tell me the only hippie thing she likes is unicorns. ignore them, they're stupid.
screw those people they dont matter... just keep in mind everyone was once curious at one point or another. just cause u got ther a few years ago, doesnt excuse ur impatients. invoke either curiosity just dont engorge it
