Well im listening to some The Who, Tommy.... And i just wondering the effects of LSD would happen in a blind person. For sure the the feelings, and other emotional things related to LSD would happen... But what about visual, would they get "hallucinations" like "normal people"
It all boils down to the fundamental effect of LSD. Does it create brand new sensations or does it warp sensations that are already there. In my opinion, if the blind person could see at one point in his life, then he would get some visuals. If he was born blind, he probably wouldn't see anything. Other sensations like touch and sound and smell and taste would be affected moreso than in a normal person because they are heightened normally to replace vision.
Go to you local collage, clime into an isolation tank and take LSD, find out for yourself! Why torture an unsuspecting blind person. http://www.tomigaya.shibuya.tokyo.jp/lilly/lsdtankx.html http://wild-bohemian.com/tanktrip.htm http://www.iszoloscope.net/iszoloscope/encyclopedia.html Funn stuff by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man it's not the same. A born-blind person has not experienced vision at any point in his/her life. You need a control in this situation, sure, but you still gotta test a blind person or at least find a born-blind that has tripped.
I was thinking of this a couple months ago and found something about a blind person's experience. I wish I still had the link... It was very interesting, and he mostly described the feeling of entering another universe, flying at extremely fast speeds, etc. Mostly dealing with space travel. I was inspired.
