    Seriously,
How can these people shoot themselves in the foot over and over again and then sit around later 'wondering' why things wont go there way with the International Community?

Please do not bother saying another word about how Palestinians are 'wrongly presented' by the Media or claim the lack of support is due to Zionist Propaganda.
HAMAS - Clearly and without apology a Militant Terrorist Mafia gets voted into power and this had nothing to do with George Bush or Zionists making anyone do anything.
    HAMAS!

    How stupid can people get?
Just for an example - you have a very influential USA Politician like Hillary Clinton (a possible future President) who has been trying very hard for years to push for an independant Palestinian State.
She was actually making a good progress and beginning to influence people onto her side.
Now.. thanks to Palestianians - she has to be forced to abandon supporting the Palestianian Authority (which is a TERRORIST GROUP for fucks sakes!).

    Way to go Palestine!

If your goal is to lose all hope of international sympathy and support and eventually force Israel into a war - you did a GREAT JOB in getting that done this week!
This only proves to me that is what Palestianians DO WANT anyways.

Do you think you can finally prove 'Allah' is the real God from all this?
    What a mistake!

The german voted Hitler, you guys (americans) voted Bush who is by far the greatest terrorist living today (acually to be more just, he stole that president seat by cheating, Al Gore is the president of the United States of America). How many lives have been written down in his name? Hamaz represent a desperate people who are living under horrible circumstances and severe oppressen, I do NOT agree that the end justifies the means but how can you blaim palestinies for this when the jews chose a zionist, militant fool who is worthy to be seated next to Milosovic and other criminals for his deeds (Bush him self should sit right next to them, this is.. if Hes true on fighting terrorism)

Yes, and look where that got them!

Total Nonsense. Bush has destroyed more Terrorists than anyone living today.
Bush won the first election. Even the harshest critics have re-calculated the mathematics using the most extreme hypothetical standards and agree again and again Bush won the first time.
    Having said that...
Bush DEFINATELY won the second time and nobody is even questioning that.
Total nonsense about this theory that thousands of Americans all created a 'sheme' to defy democracy and cause crimes and pull off a gigantic crime against America by hiding or adding votes.
Uday Hussein is one of them.
He would gladly rape more Mothers in torture prisons or execute you in the middle of the night for sport.
Yep.. Bush killed him and in doing so, saved the lives of untold Iraqis in the process.

Hang on.. you do seem to be saying the end justifies the means.
    How can I blame them?
    I do.
They vote in Terrorist (murderers) Organisations.
    I blame them entirely.
Its not a case where they think HAMAS is a 'good party' but are then suprised when they are evil.
They KNOW HAMAS is a Terrorist Org who vows to remove Israel from the planet.
I guess Im a 'crazy Christian' but my understanding is that you dont earn one 'evil' because your enemy has an evil.
    Is that Islamic teaching Cab?

Look at the Jihadist logic will you?
So Sharon is a zionist militant fool ... and so is Milosovic.. so therefore Bush can be against Terror by joining with HAMAS.
    Amazing.

One thing that should really say something here - Americans (UN) were the only reason Milosevic and the Serbs did not annihilate the Muslims off the face of the planet.
Did you see any Arab nations do fuck all in there?
Ok because I saw Canadian Soldiers getting killed and kidnapped trying to keep the MUSLIMS ALIVE in there.
I also saw Canadians dumping massive foreign aid in there (which was used by Muslim Warlords anyways).
So thats the thanks we get eh?

Well guess what - Palestinian Jihadist will get their wish anyways, a full-scale war with Israel.
Dont worry, Bush and the West wont have anything to do with it either.
In fact, at this point they are gonna separate themselves as far from Israel as possible.
After the West Bank and Gaza Strip are removed from the Maps - then the Arab World will finally get its last wish and attack Israel.

Then finally you can get your wish Cab - to find out once and for all if Allah is the true God or not.
This IS after all what it all boils down to for Muslims like you doesnt it?

when they didn't vote in a terrorist party ..and actually distanced themselves from'em and voted in the previous administration, they were promised their own country - remember ? palestine ? by 2005 ?!

well that didn't happen, did it ?

They were not promised their own country.
There has been a goal in mind which, so far, has gotten them a helluva big breakthrough in a massive pullout.
    not too shabby so far.

So your idea is what.. either they get what they want, when they want it or else voting in a Terrorist Government is 'Deserved' and 'Good'?
    Huh?

yea, ok, thats my idea ..feed yourself all the crap you wanna gather

they were not promised a state eh ? ok,

reflect on this, you responded on the germans votin in hitler with "look where that got them!" ..and the germans back then were people, just like you ..who believed in a leadership, a cause ..and obviously it didnt get them where they were supposedly promised ...

just like you! but when you do realise, it'd be too late ..and your next generations will curse people like you for havin been brainwashed to take bush as your saviour!

ride onnnnnnn ..the waves of ignorance and hate, they'll get you places

as for the palestinians votin in whoever they wanted to ..they've only exercised their right as "free" humans ..this is democracy innit, the people's choice! isnt this what the americans wanted the mideasterners to have ?

the people of palestine have spoken, right or wrong ..! respect that choice now :D

I totally agree with cabdirazzaq post.
Bringing democracy, in countries that have used other ways to govern for centuries is a strange idea really.
I mean I'm for democracy, but people need hundreds of years to make good use of it.
And as we see, we still choose the wrong person sometimes.

Amazingly, Palestinians vote in a Terrorist Party and yet, somehow, are still 'Victims' who are to be praised for their suffering and not only that but deserve all our support too.
    Wow.
Well congrats - Democracy DOES work because now the people will get what they want all along, a standoff with Israel.
    Amazing.

    Execpt himself.

Lets go into Iraq because they have WMds:rolleyes:

    You don't consider that terrorism?

We have weapons with more destructive qualities and in a higher quantity. Bush has to stop being such a hypocrite and learn that other countries has the same rights (if you wanna call them "rights") as us. Personally, I dont think any weapon of that magnitude should be used.

I also don't think it was smart for the palestinians to vote in Harakat al-Muqawamah al-Islamiyyah (HAMAS) but they belive Israel should be theirs. They know it wont promote peace, they work for their belived "holy land" and thats more important than peace to them. They chose the terrorists. This is democracy. This is the American way.

Can I ask a serious question here?

Is there anyone else besides me who believes that a War (a military solution ok) is now inevitable between Israel and the Palestianians?
I sincerely believe this vote and this current situation will lead to a military battle between the two sides within the next three years.
    Seriously.

I hope Im way wrong but as Ive said before the only 'benefit' of such a war would be that it would finally end it too.
The Palestinians would get eliminated and at least 'this problem' would be over.

The downside - After that the Arab World WILL attack Israel and that will pretty much secure nothing short of a WW3.
Israel would get destroyed but their 'Samson Complex' would pretty much annihilate 90% of the Middle East going down with them.

    Serious Comments on this Prediction?

address the cause erasmus before talkin of the effects ..how long has america been the "sponsor" of peace in the middle east ..what have they achieved ? have they been neutral ? are they still serious about addressin the palestinian issue ? why are they ..the only ones who veto every resolution that is brought for addressin the israeli aggression !

everyone's talkin about hamas as the worst we got! the palestinians were TOLD by the american administrations to vote in people by sidelinin others ..yet, they were forced to sit down to talk about peace with people like sharon, rabin etc who were personally involved in the killin of 1000s of palestinian lives !

is there benefit in any war ? why's the palestinian/israeli war so close to your heart and not the other wars you support bush for ? if there is thought of war at all (by dumpin the talks), there's precedent set by bush and your support of his actions

stop blamin the palestinians for havin exercised their right, just as you have !

So... you dont want to hold them responsible or what?
Why do you keep talking about Bush.
Because you simply INSIST really really hard that Bush is nothign short of an evil fucking sick fucker of a murdering sonofabitch.

Am I supposed to eventually just agree with you because you INSIST and demand I accept that?

Meanwhile, Palestinians voted in a Terrorist Org as their Government.
    Bush did not.
    Way to go people!

Another war in the Middle East?

First question is 'when' not 'if'.

Second question is 'conventional' or 'nuclear'.

Let's not forget to thank the French/Germans (again)/Russians for the lost time as a result of their iranian nuclear 'negotiations'.

hold them responsible for what ? for their resistance to occupyin forces ? for winnin the voices of the palestinians ?

are you holdin your governments responsible for their aggression in different parts of the world ?

and why do you keep talkin (INSISTIN) about hamas as terrorists ?! occupied palestine has been a terror spot ..with state-sponsored terrorism from the 'elected' (formerly military) leaders of israel and the sponsorship from the american administrations and their WMD with which they continue to terrorise, humiliate and kill the native population!

Do you even believe your own Bullshit or do you just want me to believe that Israel is 'occupying' anything?
    They are not.
Its just a big 'justification' you are making up for the hatred and desire to annihilate the Jews.
    Seriously, thats all your doing.

Do you want to tell us what you think of Israel before you go?
Do you (or not) believe that Israel should be removed from the map?
Forget everything else that can or will happen.
Just give yourself all 'best case scenarios' and tell me what you think should be the Ultimate solution for Israel?

(now we will see some 'ignoring' from stoney I bet?)

like i said, your one-eyed view of the world to me is rather disturbin

..and please, spare me the tactics used by the american administrations to have most of the world (particularly the muslims) playin defence with the baseless accusations they come out with to divert attention from their devious, systematic screwin about of world affairs

    Israel must talk to Hamas
By Patrick Seale, Special to Gulf News

Although last week's Palestinian elections were widely recognised as a model of democracy even though conducted in the difficult circumstances of an Israeli military occupation the immediate Western and Israeli reaction to the spectacular victory of Hamas has been one of rejection.

The United States and several European countries have said they would stop all aid to the already-bankrupt Palestinian National Authority if it were to be controlled or dominated by Hamas, unless Hamas renounced violence and recognised Israel's right to exist.

Is this a sensible reaction to the rise of the militant Islamic movement? Or is it yet another example of Western and Israeli blindness to the political evolution of the Middle East?

In seeking to explain the emergence of Hamas as the leading force in Palestinian politics, some analysts have pointed to the exhaustion, corruption and incompetence of Fatah, the national movement which has dominated Palestinian politics since the mid-1960s.

This is certainly part of the answer. In contrast to Fatah, Hamas has shown itself to be disciplined, dynamic and honest, and has built a network of social services which has gone some way to alleviate the hardship of a population under harsh Israeli occupation.

Other observers have noted that the so-called "peace process", conducted under American auspices since the Madrid peace conference of 1991, has yielded nothing of substance to the Palestinians. On the contrary, Israel's expansion into the occupied West Bank has continued relentlessly. In 1991, there were fewer than 100,000 Israeli colonists on the West Bank. Today, there are 260,000, and a further 200,000 in and around East Jerusalem.

    Important factor

Fatah has been powerless to stop Israel's massive encroachments or to protect the Palestinian people, which also goes some way to explain the rise of an armed resistance movement such as Hamas.

But there is another important factor which the West has been reluctant to recognise. Notorious for its suicide bombings of Israeli targets, Hamas is in fact a reaction to Israel's policy of continued state violence against the Palestinians and their leaders.

It is a truism that violence breeds violence; that state terror and the terrorism of armed groups are mirror-images of each other.

US President George W. Bush has called on Hamas to renounce violence and recognise Israel's right to exist, but he failed to call on Israel to renounce state terror and to recognise a Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem. One appeal is useless without the other.

The Israelis maintain that there is no moral equivalence between their own state violence and the violence of their opponents. But the truth is that murder is murder, whether it is perpetrated by the Israeli state, by an Israeli colonist, or by a resistance movement such as Hamas.

What the violence and counter-violence illustrate is that, in the asymetric warfare between Israel and the Palestinians, non-state actors such as Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon are seeking to establish a system of mutual deterrence with Israel. Their message is: If you kill us, we will kill you!

Israel's policy has been to eliminate Hamas by killing its leaders, but the election results have proved this policy to be counter-productive.

    Assassinated

Shaikh Yassin, a paraplegic in a wheel-chair, was killed by an Israeli missile. Dr Rantisi, Yassin's successor as leader, was also assassinated. Other Hamas leaders fared somewhat better. Khalid Mesha'al survived an assassination attempt by Israeli agents in Jordan in 1997.

The Israelis bombed the home of Mahmoud Zahar in Gaza City in 2003 killing his son and crippling his wife. Mohammad Deif, head of the Hamas military wing, is said to have been partially blinded and crippled by an Israeli assassination attempt in 2003.

This is by no means an exhaustive list. Scores of lesser figures have been assassinated or rounded up.

Yet the movement today dominates Palestinian politics. Israel and its Western allies will have to deal with it, whether they like it or not.

As Khalid Masha'al explained at a press conference in Damascus on Saturday, Hamas's policy is to protect the resistance, to free prisoners from Israeli jails, to reform Palestinian institutions, to express and fight for Palestinian aspirations and to cooperate with Arab, Islamic and international partners.

Resistance, he declared, was a national right, as long as Palestinians were under occupation. To those who called for Hamas to disarm, Masha'al said that the movement was prepared to form a Palestinian national army, in which all Palestinian forces would be merged.

The point is that the triumph of Hamas marks a Palestinian wakening a closing of Palestinian ranks around a responsible but militant programme. If Israel is sensible, it will deal with this revitalised Palestinian movement by dialogue, negotiation and concession, rather than by brute force, because force alone will not give Israel security.
