Does anyone here have tongue venoms? what was the pain like - was it worth it? I'm really wanting to have this done but somewhat scared of the risk of nerve damage - does anyone know any stats? I love my peircer though, she's the greatest so I think my chances of permanent damage are small.

i have a version of them. aka, the smart version :). the top exits are in the place of traditional venoms, but the bottom exits come out on the inside of the veins, if you follow what im saying. so the bottomn balls are right next to eachother in the middle part of my tongue, not on the outside. i call this the smart way, because the balls do not touch the gums (no chance of recession), and i dont bite them. the pain: inital, not bad at all. quite a breeze actually. but healing was horrible. i mean, i have the pain tollerence of a champ, but god damn. since they go through muscle, it was awful. i could not talk for 3 days, and couldnt eat for 7. i highly recommend this style of piercing. the healing process will make you truely appreciate the piercings!

oh yeah, nerve damage = urban legend. there are nerves all over your body, piercings do NOT give people nerve damage. tongue piercings do not effect anything long term. only if you bite them and chip a tooth on them. no nerve damage is a risk. however, make sure she is VERY good, she will be working VERY VERY close to thick veins.
