My house is full of them, so I have to be careful... I can basically only toke in my bathroom, with a fan blowing out the window. Does anyone know how much smoke sets of an alarm (like from a range of a little to alot since their are no real ways to measure the smoke), based on past experiences or knowledge gained. Thanks
Yeah...but I wouldn want to take that chance. Im just wondering if a small whisp (but still visible) thing of smoke could set it off or would there have to be copious amounts of smoke.
like ive said, im my basment there was one right above where i smoked and if its that much of a deal take out the battery or un hook it untill your done smoking
Just toke up outside that doesnt smell and it seems lots more people get caught smokeing inside than outside
? If its not possible to toke outside I have a smoke alarm right outside of my room and I toke in my room all the time, never once set off the fire alarm. Not to mention the tons of incense I burn. It requires a very large amount of smoke to set one off, just don't worry about. Blow the smoke into a pillow or something.
couple days ago i burned half a stick of incense directly below the one in my room and it was ok. i think there needs to be a lot more smoke to do it.
Well, when you test smoke detectors you light a match right under em and they go off...or thats how it was like 12 years ago when the one we have was installed....Matter of fact, I think its still got the same batteries as 12 years ago, so it probably doesn't work anyway. Hoooooray for safety.
