I went to the National Rainbow Gathering this year and noticed something, all the nude men were sporting the "shaven" look. Nearly every inch of their bodies were hairless. I found this to be very odd... Am I confusing naturism and nudism? I figured someone that didn't wear clothes wouldn't dream of shaving anything off their body and instead just go natural. Can someone explain this phenomenon? I found it very interesting...
umm annie i was there also & honnestly i didn notice..maybe yu just looked allittle closer then i did..lol just teasin..i dunno i mean most of the sisters seemed pretty much natural....& yea i know ya probly didnt see me nude but u know i havent shaved a thing in..i dint remember how long....doubt you have either
Well, soaringeagle...I didn't look TOO closely, obviously, but someone pointed it out to me once and I just sort of began noticing the trend. Surprisingly, I do shave...although I went two weeks without shaving at the gathering...I ALMOST kept it, but couldn't stand looking down at my legs and seeing a "man's" leg poking out of my skirt. *giggles*
with all the dancin u do i'm sure even furry your legs are beautiful... what am i saying "even" for hmmm oh..does it count if i sit on my beard dreads & yank em out?
hey annie, well...in a way i can see your point,and i feel like it is really weird with men,as you observed it, seeing the intime haircut as a procedure of hygiene.There is a interfereing into the natural appearance of their body,...and at the same time they are celebrating nature and mother earth :H .quite funny,i guess... but maybe one shouldnt see this too symbolic,shaving has become so much "natural" today even if i think every part of our body has its importance....
There do seem to be lots of shaved people at the nude beach. All the contrary explanations and definitions of naturism and nudism confuse me, and seem different each time. I just think it's like clothes - some people like no hair, and some lots.
A lot of us think that smooth looks and feels great. I do. Some nudists thinks it makes them 'more nude.' Not sure about that. It's all personal preference.
I personally like to be "clean" all over even though it's a real PITA. When my wife shaves, it's a really nice feeling to feel skin against skin when we make love. My wife thought at first that it was unusual, but now she likes it.
It's personal. I've done both. Mostly my legs. It feels wonderful. I don't know if it looks wonderful to most observers. It's probably not as natural. But I know how it feels. I don't do it all the time. I didn't last summer. But the two summers before, I did. I do a lot of biking, so I know of some "practical" reasons for being truly bare down there (legs.) Mostly I go for a reduction,trimming, not an elimination, of excess hair for hygene reasons. There are places one just doesn't need so much of it, see? I'm fortunate that my upper body still doesn't sport too much hair.
To each his own, I guess. I personally enjoy feeling smooth. I would imagine some guys like being smooth as well, and it looks good on some. Most girls I hang out with shave... guys, not really. I think it's a bodybuilder thing...
