Your posts seem to pop up everywhere as "This message is hidden because Erasmus70 is on your ignore list". I know you can read this and I really am interested to know how you feel about it. I'm wondering how someone became so rabid. So I refreshed my memory on he whose name you take here. Interesting stuff. Born, Gerhardt Gerhardtson, the illegitimate son of Priest Roger Gerhard. Was highly educated in the Dutch monastic school system. Had a torrid love affair with another young man, Servatius Rogerus, called him "Half his soul". Entered the priesthood and took his monastic vows but turned his back on the Catholic Church. Studied in Paris, Rome and Cambridge. Was widely known as a humanist who advocated the liberalization of religious teachings. Wrote the modern version of the New Testament in Latin. Died penniless and was on the Vatican's "Prohibited List" for hundreds of years. Was the inspiration for Martin Luther and the Reformation Movement. So, to summarize, you name yourself after a gay, liberal, humanist theologian who would likely have been burned for heresy if he had stayed in Rome yet you want people of the Religious Right (much less us lowly heathens) to take you seriously? Funny shit, dude. I'll take you off iggy for a while, interested to hear your response. No really, I want to know what makes a "man" like you tick.
When I first noticed "Erasmus" (not the forumer, but the name elsewhere) I had thought he took it after St Erasmus (Elmo) who was a 3rd Cent martyr and tortured (especially his intestines and stuff) so he is invoked for stomach cramps and colic. He is the patron saint of sailors tough. But yeah, it is the theologian
Well for starters I see the 'Gay Revistionists' have been applying their sticky fingers to Erasmus. There is absolutely no reason to believe he was gay but apparently according to the 'rainbow historians' any historical figure who loved his brothers or expressed love for a fellow man was, also having sex with them. Ive lost track of the list now but last I saw, Robin Hood, Davinci, Jesus, Stalin, virtually ALL the Caesars who ruled and literally every Greek recorded in history are all now determined to have been Gay. Fantastic. Otherwise, Erasmus (the real dude but not the St. Elmo one) was a pretty cool dude. He never actually joined with the Reformers but stayed true to the non-reformers (for lack of a better word). Im pretty sure you dont know what the word 'Humanist' means in the context it was applied to Erasmus, nor do I think you know why you are using the terms 'liberal' or 'Right Wing' in your analysis either. At any rate, I find you (Zoomie) one of the most useless posters in Hipforums and I cant even think of one post you have made which contributes in any substantial way to anything being discussed in any particular thread. So really, feel free to keep me on 'Iggy' since I suspect this is an exceptional case where we have any need or point in exchanging any comments. For the record: You can answer to me (if you want) but its not happening the other way around. If I do happen to reply with something you like - consider it a happy coincidence for you!
OK, but it's odd how just as I went to put you back on Iggy I noticed you were reading a thread in the Gay forum. Picking up or dropping off? Bye.
That krak khov persona fills the same iggy-void. A space for everything, even space I suppose. Amazing universe.
