I was just curious, how long would it take a tongue piercing to heal over? I don't want mine to,but I was curious. My sisters asked me if I took out my barbell, how long it would take to grow over.I couldn't answer their question! So what would you guys say? I think it would depend on the person, afterall everyone is different...however I don't think it would take long!
I really have no clue, but it seems like it would be one of the quickest, jsut because the tongue has extremely fast healing properties anyway.
true cherry, but it does depend on the person as well. it probably wouldn't completely close for a couple days, but it would deffinately shink in a couple hours. if you want to keep it, i would keep it in.
I had a barbell in my tounge and fell asleep one night only to find out that I had swallowed the ball over night. It had only been about 6-7 hours and the hole was much smaller. I'd say a couple gauges smaller, almost closed. When I put a new barbell in it was pretty swollen... My tounge had been pierced for a couple years by that time. The skin will heal in your mouth very quickly.
I thought so...since the tongue pierce heals rather quick,I figured that if I took the barbell out (not that it is my plan anyway) it would probably grow over fast!
i've had mine pierced for a little over 2 years. sometimes i leave the jewelry out for weeks at a time. the hole doesnt even tighten up or anything
hmmm, lucky you novocaine. all my hubby's piercings close up almost immediately - his eyebrow closed up in 3 hours - couldn't get the jewelry back in it anyways. his tounge was faster. he says it's cuz he's a fast healer.
yeah. my septum healed completely in 4 hours or so, and like my girly said, a couple hours and her toungue shrinks size. it is different for everyone, but the majority of the population has trouble keeping piercings open without jewlrey in it. i hear complaints about holes closing all the time.
I only had my bar for about 6 weeks before metal in my mouth started to drive me insane. NE way, I took it out, and it closed to the point of being invisible almost immediately. Im sure this was a product of the fact that the hole was healed, but not well established. Peace
damn i think i've left my labret out for 4 days one time seems i'm going for that again as i took it out 2 nights ago and still haven't put it back in =/ i'm THAT lazy people, damn
yes it would depend on how long u have had it done, if u havent had it done for a long time it would take at the most a day to close all the way up, if u have had it done for awhile it could take awhile to close up..
