What are peoples views on graffiti??? like proper graffiti not "fuck off" or "L.G 4 K.H" .I think that real graffiti is an artform and should be recognised by governments who should provide legal painting walls wich would cut down on illigal street art.I just love walking around a corner and unexpectingly finding a massive graffiti piece or a stencil or somthing like that.Anyway have your say...............

Acceptable graffiti in murals and such is awesome. It is so hard to do, especially the larger pieces where a cafolding is needed. I agree with you on that it should be legalized, and more pieces should be done in cities over the graffiti that associates with gangs or just plain tags and ugly spraypaint.

My neighborhood in Brooklyn is full of graffiti, and most of it sucks. There are some rare gems, though. There is one in memory of piece that is really nice.

I like graffiti, Its an art expression..of course you can find both nice and ugly ones..anyway consider they're often made during the night..not that easy..plus in a railway station for example they turn out to be a nice view rather than the outskirt's landscape..

I always accept them, also the paintings/tags on the trains itself, as long as they don't waste historical walls or important cultural goods..i couldn't figure paintings on the Coliseum in Rome!

On the other hand, I don't think a writer would be so flattered to paint on a sheet provided by the legal institutions..i reckon graffiti being part of the metropolitan environmenth, painting on a wall's subway, for instance,

Taggers are lowlife assholes, especially ones that paint on private property.

There is a lot of graffiti in certain places that special walls etc have been erected for people to spray on. A lot of trains had been vandalised so the PTB are planning on setting up replica train carriages for them. But, a lot do it because it's illegal so in their minds they will keep on with their annoying and not even imaginative shit.

the whole subculture of graffing and such is all about rebellion and danger though, im not sur eif they would want to do it somewhere legal. barcelona, where its allowed on streets, has some of the most amazing graffiti, like big shrooms on walls and stuff and it looks so good, but i hate all the shit little kids who want to act all hard and think its so witty to just trash shit and write the shittest stuff.

it doesnt. one of the whole points of graffiti is to defy the government. there are walls in some places that are meant to be sprayed but no one ever does anything on it because it defies the point of [some] graffiti

It shouldn't be legal to go and paint up someone else's property, however, every wall in the world should have a mural.

Cities should designate places where it is OK to go and paint the walls, (trains need paint! it should be legal to paint trains) or even pay people to do so.

    Promote beauty everywhere!
