    Jimmy Page is most talented. hendrix is good and all, but i think he was very much over-rated. his songs are insane, but many people can play as good as him. my second best would probably have to be Jerry Garcia

    if you include blues guitarists, just about any of them blow page and hendrix out of the water... so including Stevie Ray just isn't fair. :)


    I'd have to vote for Satriani or Randy Rhodes, with Pete Townsend in close second or third place.

    Hendrix is credited so much because his music was original, there was no one else doing that kinda thing at the time. Sure, there have been better guitar players, but Hendrix was more than that, he changed the way people thought, he opened up a whole new world of creativity. He was legendary.

    Other incredible guitarists include Randy Rhodes, Slash, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, Joe Satriani, Stevie Ray (if we are including him!), Brian May, Zakk Wylde, and more recently the guys from Dragonforce, Herman Li and Sam Cotman, i love the way their playing compliments each other and the rest of the band!
