im buying shrooms this weekend and i was wondering if 3 grams would be a good purchase for a first time, or if it would be too intense?

2 to 3 grams is usally a good first time dose, depending on your experience with psychedelics of course.
It's to my understanding that Dr. Hoffman and Mister Wasson took 10 grams a piece to induce the sacred fungi, and I even heard they recommended it, but also the magical mushroom had been chemically re-mastered into (Pure Psilocybin) pill form.. Dosage of psilocybin is in the mg range. Do you mean the equivalent of pure psilocybin to approx. 10 grams of mushrooms? Also gotta remember wet and dry are a difference of 10x. Either way, a hardhead could take ten grams of dried shrooms (cubies), but it's questionable if a first timer could. All depends on the person. To the thread starter: 3 g's will probably do you fine. Just be with someone you trust and since you're kinda young and it's the first time, you might wanna eat half first wait an hour- hour and a half, then see if you wanna take the rest.

Ya just having done this myself but with 4 grams, I recommened just doing 2 grams, you can always increase dose after.
fuck man, my friend CJ was getting his friend to come up from freidricksburg to get me the shrooms. but he never called me to tell me the guy isnt coming. so now the weekend is over and I been waiting for something that wasnt going to happen. damn this sucks. Nope, you're completely right, I did some research, and the liquid psyliocybin was actually measured in milligrams, not grams - between 10 and 30 milligrams, which is equivalent to 1-3 hits - Or equivalent to between 1 and 3 grams in dry mushrooms... So that leads me to believe that 10 grams (of dried) would Not kill you, but it would most certainly would stun you and (thinking positively) Greatly Effect You.. ! AEONFLUX3025
Ya I know for a fact 10 grams wouldn't kill you, since I know a guy who decided to see what would happen if he did 20 grams of wavy caps, the most potent magic mushroom known to man.
Sorry did you just make up most of your post? 1. psylocybin is a crystal not liquid. 2. 1-3 hits of what? acid? of what ug potency? 3. Even if you did have standardised acid then what makes you think that 10-30mg of psylocybin is equivalent to 3 hits of it? 4. Are you certain that 1g of mushrooms has 10mg of psylocybin? That sounds much too high to me. 5. Of course mushrooms can't kill you that isnt even in question 6. 3 hits of average acid is much stronger than an 1/8 of shrooms and 3 hits of good acid is at least as strong as a 1/4. not the 3g you state

You need to eat your bodyweight of fresh cubensis to be able to die from it. Goodluck trying. Theres not much risk in shrooms, a high dose is pretty easy to handle, its like mushrooms are quite gentle.
