    lol :)

    GOD + 1 = GOE ... GOE - E = GO ... E + GO = EGO.

Personally I see people as gods. We're the 'creators', in so much as the fact we mentally construct/deconstruct the world around us..

In my eyes god is the personification of a concept. Satan is the 'deconstructor', the 'evil' which causes us to seperate and destroy.. God is the opposite, the 'constructor' or 'good' which enables us to intergrate and acknowledge. A long time ago we didn't have the sort of language to be able to describe that sort of thing, so we just called it 'god' and 'satan'. I think something like the bible tries to elaborate on that, but the very nature of those concepts will entail some sort of contradiction.. To personify god IS contradiction, as a person can never be all good or all bad, all god or all satan.

So... that's what makes me say god doesn't exist, at least the concept of god as a 'person'. We created him in our form, not the other way round.

"Sometimes the light is all shining on me
other times I can barely see
    Lately it occurs to me
What a long strange trip it's been..."

Better than being more and more unoriginal and conforming, no?

What do YOU have to say about some of these posts?

Not so much "promoting" Satan as a God, but rather envisioning the possiblity that evil is the dominating force, that Satan might be in God's place (which is why we suffer) and God might be in Satan's place (which is why benevolence isn't as plentiful as we'd like it to be).

I see this possibility as just as probable. Think about it. Satan is Lucifer, the Light-bearer, one of God (IAUE)'s most favourite angels. But then God made Man, and God said to the angels, Man is perfect (which he is NOT, angels are more perfect than Man is), you should worship him and protect him and serve him.

If I were an angel and God said that, I'd have done the same thing Lucifer did. Say "what the fuck is this shit, we were here first," chuck God the finger, and do my own thing instead.

Perhaps IAUE is allowing original sin into the world and punishing us, a Lucifer is trying to save us by throwing benevolence into the mix.

Either way, Satan is the lord of all things evil in Christianity, right? The anti-God. And just as God's son Jesus is the Christ, Satan's son Damien is the anti-Christ. Or Bush might be, that has yet to be investigated ...

So is not Satan also a Lord? Merely a lord of all that is evil and impure, but still a Lord, with powers to tempt, create, and destroy. With worshippers. With demons (which are simply fallen angels, and have all the power angels do).

Maybe he's not quite as powerful as God. But probably is more powerful than we imagine other gods to be.

    Still, these are just concepts.

Gotcha ;) I belive that Man *was* alot more "perfect" then we are now before the fall. God gave us the rule over the Earth....and Satan tricked us and took it from us pretty much. So I belive that Satan to an extent is the ruler of the earth.

Benevolence is plentiful, I think the problem is most people don't perceive it (God's benevolence) because they are caught in the moment.

Necessary concepts for (the appreciation of) drama.

"Satan" was god's equal as far as power went, but was 'cast out' for messin' with creation (like god). That being the case, there's no hope, because it comes down to the irresistable force meeting the irresistable force. And we're the meat in the irresistable sandwich.
Pass the salt and pepper, please.

Very close! Satan wasn't quite as powerful as G-d, because G-d made him weaker on purpose, lest He no longer be the dominant force of the Universe (and in this loss of title, have to relinquish His Prized Parking Space).

Let's enjoy it while it lasts. ;)

    YUMMY!
