I love Western Swing, especially Wills. It's a crying shame that it's not more widely known and appreciated outside of Texas and Oklahoma.I got turned on to it via seeing Asleep At The Wheel several times in the 70's,then got into the roots of what they were doing.Besides the obvious Wills tradition, they turned me on to late 40's swing blues like Louis Jordan and Amos Milburn,50's New Orleans R&B and Cajun pop music.I love a set of eclectic roots styles, and that's what Western Swing is to me.It's wonderful that bluegrass and associated acoustic styles have gotten so popular all around the US.It's befuddling that Western Swing has been virtually ignored.

I love Western swing & Bob Wills! Bob Wills was so diverse, he went from bluesy stuff to bluegrass to rock 'n roll sounding stuff sometimes. Great guy who did so much for music, and always had a great band! :D
