The Stars against the sun,The night has fallen below,They still tend in war,Not made to see the light,The Sun is dead,Love is what war is,Just as a different sight,The stars do not shine, They die with war,The planets ask,Where does the "moon" stand? by: nikki kelley
That was beautiful. The meaning i got out of it was like, the stars represent the smaller, weaker side, like the citizens or revolutionaries in a war, and the sun represented the stronger side, like the government, trying to be overthrown by the revolutionaries (The stars), and at the end, when the sun is dead and the stars have won, they die off, and the next generation (The planets) have a new leader, the moon, and they begin asking "where does the moon stand" and begin the war against the moon. But maybe i am just looking too much into it... Peace and Love, Dan
you gave a whole new meaning to this poem, and it was extraordinary. Thank you for that wonderful comment.
I wrote it about the 60's... the stars being old hippies and the sun being society... the moon being new hippies with new ideas, the planets being the society of today.
