lately I am not feelin ebay, I have had a few non paying bidders and people complaining about things that I can not controll, like the postal services shipping times and suchthey dont realize the times the post office gives are estimated, after all that stuff is listed in my auctions..... how do your ebay stores work out, is it worth the $15 a month because that seems like a lot of oney to pay them if yoy have to pay listing fees for auctions too, or do you get a certain number of auctions included in your store fee?? i dunno how it works havent had an ebay store in a few years....... anyone have any opinions on it, maybe it would make ebay worth my while if i opend a store, maybe not. who knows!! my website doesnt get nearly as much traffic as my ebay auctions so i was thinking maybe thats how i need to start things out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I highly recommend Etsy over Ebay. They are doing advertising for the site and it gets a lot of traffic. My store is doing well on there. It costs much less than ebay and offers more.
Are you guys doing well on Etsy? When I was poking around in the clothing section a a lot of people had only 1 feedback or none. Is it working for you? Kate
My store is doing pretty good. I have 5 pos feedbacks, but I have sold 13 things from the store. I think some people are not aware of the feedback thing or they just forget to leave it.
I see. I was just wondering because thier posting fees seem totally reasonable. Maybe I will give it a try this spring. Thanks.
Funky~ I just wanted to tell you, I was on a different forum and a mama was asking where she could find some children's hippie clothes and another mama posted your site. I thought it was pretty cool and you'd be excited!
rock on thanks so much for telling me =) i made a pair of baby patchies with a tree the other day for a tiny one
Gonna check that site out. I've used Ebay for a long time. I think they ask a little to much to sell. I did have a store up for my jewelry but I also thought the $15 was high considering you still had a posting fee.
I totally agree. Ebay asks too much to sell - in terms of listing fee, final payment fee, credit card processing fee, etc. My experience is that Auction listings still work out better as people atleast go there. Ebay stores are a rip off with monthly fee, and very minimal traffic, or non serious buyers. Thanks for the pointer on Etsy. I'll try it out.
i'm wanting to open an ebay store once I build enuf rep points to do so... but now I'm thinking about this whole etsy thing.... hm....
