wow i just heard these guys on the TV, and i downloaded some of their stuff its very "samey" but SO amazing! Its really fast, hgh pitched, double bass, long and powerful guitar solo's If you into something which is a mix of Iron maiden and Nightwish, you might like this. the video i saw was actually good as well, they showed you what they were plaaying instead of messing up the camera angles so you don't know whats going on
Great band. The guitars are pretty cool. I agree though,alot of it sounds the same. And alot of it sounds like Disney theme music with double kick drums.
lol yeah agreed there... my girlfriend doesnt like it simply because its not heavy enough. (although i think the double pedal bass drum does make it sound sort of heavy)
I heard one good power metalsong of them, Valley of the damned. It didn't have anything original, but that's where the power metal genre is famous for and it doesn't matter, it's a great song. It did sound better on the demo as on their official debutalbum in my opinion. And the other songs didn't do anything to me at all.
hmmm i think thats one of the down falls of most metal genres. Is that it all sounds very samey. You here one bands song, and all the rest sound very similar. But what alot of people don't realise is that each band has their own sound, and its not about having a different sound to each and every song. its just about head banging and making alot of noise and getting on the nerves of quiet people :X
A good song has something that catches your attention, Dragonforce's songs don't have that, accept that one I named. A lot of metalbands have problems getting an original sound, but there are many bands that succeed in that. Not that that's always good music but ok, sometimes it is. And some metalbands don't have an original sound, but they have songs that catch your attention. Nothing wrong with those bands, I love some of those (like Gamma Ray) but Dragonforce has neither of those 2 things.
