    Kris and Mr Ree,

I read your posts about the methods of crucifixion, here what I found yesterday if you are still interested in this matter, And for more about this write for example '' the Roman crucifixion '' in any search engine, maybe Mr Ree isn't that much interested in the matter.

    Note:

    1. Jesus was innocent in the view of Pilate, so they might probably didn't care to make him die slowly or quickly or whatever.

    2. The two other men were guilty in Pilate view, so it could be very right view that they use the slow method of crucifixion.

ok with so much crucifixion talk what do you say to this? In Genesis God speaks not as one but of multiple. The Greek translation is multiple as is the English. I do not know what Islam says about Allah with respect to God in three persons.

Anyway, in the garden we see the freely accesible tree of life (eternal life). When man sins God says (we) must not allow man to eat from the tree of eternal life--so he blocks it from Eden and places a cherbun with flaming arrow to guard. Eternal life is blocked from mankind. Whatever religion, if you accept Genesis as truth then you have in this a predicament with eternal life.

As we know from the scriptures, Christ was hung (crucified) on a tree. That through acceptance of him on that tree, with what he did on that tree, eternal life is again accessible...but only through belief in him upon that tree.

Jesus Christ is the only offer of salvation and eternal life offered from any religion existing out of Genesis.

Correction ~ god says in Genesis "in that day that you eat of the fruit of the tree thereof, you will surely die." It cannot there-from solely be supposed that "eternal life" is the only implication simply because it fits conveniently into religious preconceptions.
God stated unequivocally that they'd die on the day that they ate the fruit. They ate the fruit, they didn't die; ergo ~ god lied the first lie of creation, therefore setting the tone, scene, and precedent of creation and religions that surround 'him'. No 'good' in that "god".
Also, the Genesis "tree of life" is an unelucidated metaphor which cannot be redduced to a single meaning that supports religious supposition or preconception to mean "eternal life", any more than it can be claimed that by performing a crucifixion killing (sacrifice), mankind will live eternally. To believe that by killing one, all others will live ~ that's nothing more than an ignorant superstitious nonsensical absurdity that surely can't be held to seriously by any supposedly intelligent, thinking, enlightened being!
Similarly the "Elohim" ~ plurality of God, means that there are more than one of him, and other's like him. It does not necessarily referr only to the religiously expedient "triune nature of 'god'". 'God' further defines himself in more ways to make it clear what he is really like and how he is to be recognised ~ jealous, warlike, vengeful .............
Makes you wonder what the other one's are like. Good and loving, perhaps?

xtian theories, like their religion, are presumptive assumptions based upon collections of scattered inferences that may or may not be true, and are more than likely not. But don't let truth get in the way of religion ~ oh no! Anything will do as "evidence". Even absolute rubbish such as the supposed "fast" crucifixion" that, by using basic physiological knowledge, would actually cause death by dehydration and starvation (a long enduring process!), along with some bodily discomforts such as cramp. But the pictorial example given will in no way hasten death by any stretch of the imagination.

I disputed this issue in details please read posts 17, 21, after reading posts 17 and 21 read the quotation in post 51, after that read post 58

BTW, Allah is the Lord of the Jews, Christians and Muslims click and here, and if a Muslim denied Jesus, Moses, Mary, John the Baptist, Aaron, etc then he isn't a Muslim. Allah stated that Jesus is neither his son nor a God, Allah (God) is the only God, and there are no three Gods. The Bible and the Quraan say so that there is only one God, but Paul says some thing else!
Quraan…Is there any God with Allah (The father)? say: ''Bring forth your proofs, if you are truthful''.

Paul and Christians say: If you do not have salvation because salvation comes "only through the blood of the lord Jesus". "All your good works are like filthy rags" or if you will not believe in Jesus as God then you will not enter into eternal life yet Jesus (peace be upon him) and Allah in both bible and Quraan are saying something else regarding how to enter into eternal life!!

Quraan say: ''Bring forth your proofs, if you are truthful''.
Quraan: Say… verily, (either) we or you rightly guided or in plain error.
Dear Me Miles Away, what you were talking about was out of the main topic of this thread, if you're interested to discuss this issue, you are more than welcome but not here please do it for example in any of these threads (links below) which are relevant, and please or I prefer you will read them with the responses before writing anything because what you may ask about, another member already did, what do you like to dispute first, Jesus' divinity, original sin, Trinity….

    My deepest sincere best wishes
    Yours Sincerely,
    Cat Stevens

I think that you don't believe the Bible is the word of God, and if so, then (I claim as you may consider me that) God doesn't lie :( the bible has been corrupted, some of the Christians scholars know that too, that there are corrupted verses in the bible e.g.1, post 12è e.g.2, the last Quotation and Photostat in post 21è e.g.3
Some said: certain parts of Scripture are of divine origin while other parts of Scripture are of human origin. And: I believe in the short run you are correct. The Bible we have to day is not perfect, and counterdictions will be found. Yet I believe the original text was with out themè source: post 34
[Numbers 23.19]: God is not a man, that he should lie
[Jeremiah 8. 8]: " 'How can you say, "We are wise, for we have the law of the LORD," when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely? 9 The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped. Since they have rejected the word of the LORD, what kind of wisdom do they have?
[Jeremiah14. 14] Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds. 15 Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them
Jeremiah23.36 But you must not mention 'the oracle of the LORD ' again, because every man's own word becomes his oracle and so you distort the words of the living God, the LORD Almighty, our God.
Quraan:… inspite of the fact that a party of them used to hear the Word of Allah, then they used to change it knowingly after they understood it?...Know they not that Allah knows what they conceal and what they reveal, … then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, this is from Allah, … Woe to them for what their hands have written…
    *sigh*

It goes without saying that you have the right to say whatever you want, but I think you was harsh dear brother with the guy =(, he may don't know or has a proof, or has another verse which supports his idea or he misunderstood it, or he didn't notice that, we have to give him a chance right =) Except if you already disputed these issues with him formerly and that you know him basically, yeah it could be logic to say such thing after a disputation, i.e. if you disputed with him and at the end of the disputation you and him reached to the point that you are the right, yet he still stubborn with no evidence!! (Blind belief), I do believe that Christians think that they are right as Muslims and Jews do too, so their intention is really good.
John8.31-32: Then said Jesus to those Jews … ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
1 Thessalonians 5.21: Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
    Quraan:
'' As for those who strive hard in me (my cause), I will surly guide them to my path. And verily, Allah is with the good doers''

I wrote an explanation of ''Elohim'' if you would like to take a look you will find it here.
    Yours Sincerely,
    Cat Stevens

Please members let's try to write relevant things, and don't go so far away from the main topic, yeah some times we forget ourselves when an issue leads us to talk about another one.

Have a nice, peaceful and faithful day, Amen

Just be certain the your "beliefs" are founded
Ths mistake I made for many many years was the having of un-founded, un-investigated, and un-proven beliefs based solely on trusting the religion. Once I found that the religion lied, the house of cards collapsed, and i saw the truth that set me free. I say again cat Stevens with all my heart ~ be certain that your "beliefs" are founded
