So someone once told me to just spray essential oils on, as a deodorant, cause the EO kill the bacteria that cause my horrible smell! But I forgot what EO would be good, and if I should dillute them, and if so with what, and in what umm.. proportions? sorry my dictionary sucks :(
so umm, yeah. seemed like a good solution to me because I smell and I was gonna make a deostick with beeswax and EO but beeswax is expensive and unfindable!
any help is greatly appreciated! thanks!

    lavender
    sage
    tea tree
all of these would work but make sure to dilute with h2o
have you ever heard of deoderant 'crystal'?
i have used these for years & found they work soooo much better than anything else. they're basically like a salt rock that is all smoothed out. i like to add an eo spray on top just for extra measure

bees wax would block your pores, not good for you at all.
I put a single drop in each armpit of sage and rub it around.

the "rocks" are great for stinky feet and as leave -ins for boots or shoes, too, and the smaller pieces sold for that use are MUCH cheaper than the cosmetic size.

A water to EO mix can be as little as three drops in about 8 oz and as much as 20 drops.

beeswax is good for LOTS of stuff imo...like lip balm, salves, candles
i think drumminmama was just warning you against using it in your armpits (i've never heard of it being used in deoderant either)
do a google search for 'deoderant crystal' or 'deoderant rock' & see if you can find anything. they're available in most health food stores here & i know www.mountainroseherbs.com has them as well

beeswax (or candellia wax from a plant for vegans) is to seal in moisture, which is the opposite of what you want!

get a bottle of good, smelly massage oil and rub that under your arms - seems to work. i'm a cheap bastard who doesn't like rubbing heaps of chemicals on me. should last a long time.
reference to smelly shoes - drip some colloidal silver inside them, it stops them stinking, this works too

    ok you lovely beautiful freak!
here are the recipes i've found.....
jeanne rose says to take 5 drops of essential oil (sage, lavender, lemon, or basil) to every 1/2 cup of h2o. put in spray bottle with pump & shake before every use

if you'd rather have a powdered deoderant:
mix together equal parts of powdered
(1)orange peel, lemon peel, orris root
    or
    (2)lavender & lemon peel
    or
    (3)chamomile, marigold, comfrey
    or
    (4)sage & lemon peel
choose your mix & make sure ALL ingredients are powdered.
haven't tried these powdered recipes, but she claims they're good for underarms or crotch area (hahaha)

good luck sweetie & btw, did you find a deoderant crystal?????

I made a spray with lavender and tea tree! so far it works good but I've been sick, so no sweaty exercizing or anything :p evaluation is still going on :)
the powders sound like they're really hard to make..

I didn't look for the crystal deodorant but I'm sure I could find one.. I'll consider that if the mix I made doesn't work as good as I'm hoping :)

    thank you once more josai!

if you have a grinder (like one used for coffee beans) then you could make them pretty easily. of course, you don't want to actually use the same one you'd use for your coffee (or you'll forever have lavender-scented coffee & coffee-scented herbals!!!) believe me....i know!
after all these years, i finally bought a separate grinder for my herbal making!
