No. Pallets are made from whatever is avaliable. It isn't cost effective to treat the wood. (Left over portions of otherwise treated wood can be used in pallets.) Any kind of wood can be found in a pallet. It just depends on what is on hand when they make the pallet. Cheap cheap wood (ususaly), but they are a good source of scrap quality oak. There is an urban legend about a teak pallet.
