it has to be smoked in less than a minute and a half. for that you have to make it fat and short you have to smoke fast and inhale 3 or 4 times only and hold ~20 seconds each time. the required amount has to hit the blood quickly and at once which is why pipes are preferred.
one fat toke of plain stuff for your first time you will hardly notice you may feel paranoid or self conscious or silly maybe nothing.

I rolled a salvia joint once with a gram, between 3 people, huge hits kept 15 seconds, all was consumed after about 3 minutes, and we were laughing too hard to finish it...It was unlike the strong breakthrough experience, very fun. apple. soda can. make a fucking bong out of a water jug. get creative. but don't smoke printer paper, that's gross. and probably a waste, since it'll burn fast and you need to hold each hit in for at least 25 seconds. and you probably won't jump out of a window... especially if it's your first time. if you do it right, you won't be able to talk and if you move it'll only be to see if you can and feel how weird it is, or get a better view of something crazy to look at. good luck, man!
