I have my own interpretation, i am not a sheep, I can say what I want, I don't want to say what you have dictated to me.

    I didn't say you were a sheep....o_O

Sheep are wool covered creatures that go "Baahhh", and they certainly can't type.

Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather
    Whiplash girlchild in the dark
Comes in bells, your servant, don't forsake him
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart

wow ive never heard that version before, how about some of nico's songs? all of tomorrow's parties, i'll be your mirror, femme fatale? but i see you guys are really concentrated on venus in furs lol which is a pretty crazy song, i have a live recording of the song too on "The Velvet Underground Live MCMXCIII.' does anyone else have that cd? they sound so beautiful live, venus in furs sounds so different but really beautiful live.. it's truely an amazing work of art that minds of today can't seem to create anymore lol

i think that is true, the velvet underground did write the same genre of music except they wrote about darker things in life.. heroin for example lol.. there is no doubt that lou reed wrote that song during a heroin rush or when he was hurting for a hit while the beatles wrote about strawberry fields forever. it's plain that the velvet underground wrote very realistic music

The Velvet Underground shat on the Stones and Beatles from great heights. Well 10 years later they did

Velvet Underground is one of the greatest bands of all-time and i hope you can dig that man. no band before or after the Velvet Underground broke as many rules and territory as Velvet did you know. lou reed practically invented guitar drone man and blended the energy of rock with the avant-garde and introduced a new degree of social realism and sexual kinkiness into rock lyrics man. Probably the greatest and most influential, most revolutionary American rock band to ever live you know.
