Do you talk to people simply because they're wearing the t-shirt of a band you like?

I do it all the time. I don't go out of my way but if I'm walking along and I see someone with a Tool shirt, I'll compliment them on it.

I do it at work a lot, too. Being a server, it's good to chat with the people in the restaurant and it's a great entryway into conversation. Like today, for example, there was a girl at one of my tables wearing an APC shirt, and I had to give her props for it. Or one of the cooks had on a Nails shirt, and we got into a long conversation about bands and stuff.

I dunno...I just think it's a cool way to get to talking with people you don't know.

Yes, I sometimes do that. Like you, I don't go out of my way to talk to the person, but if they're wearing a t-shirt of a band or festival I usually try to strike up a conversation with them.

Actually, I came across a man who looked almost exactley like Roger Daltrey, and I told him that he looked just like him. He said he had another friend that looked even more like him, hehe.

Yeah, I always talk to people with band shirts on. But only really rare bands, cause they don't come around too often. I find with people like NIN or Tool are good people, but they probably like alot of music I don't like.

i do every once in a while. especially if its a band that isnt POPULAR in my town, like if I see someone with a G. Love and Special Sauce shirt or a Les Claypool shirt. Beleive it or not no one in my town knows who Les is............. see the military guys here love bands like nickelback so I don't see many shirts of bands I listen too!

where is this man and can I have his number? please.

    lol... just kidding.

yeah, i talk to people with a cool band t-shirt on it's awesome. people have approched me and we chat about the Doors cause I have this cool Jim Morrison shirt. Also, I meet cool people that way. i like it it's like an advertisement "Look at me! This is the kind of person I am! WOO HOO! TALK TO MEEEE! " hahaha. plus, if people like the band enough to get a shirt they are normally very happy to talk and talk about them. Way cool! lots of fun.

    ~~rock on~~

^^That's just fucked up. Everyone should know who Les Claypool is. Last year, I was talking to my friend about Janis Joplin, and her friend walked up and said, "Hey guys who's that". Oh we laughed and laughed!
