Questions about germinationnnn

Ok so when I germinate the seeds would I be able to place them all in a wet aper towel and let sit until roots apper? Or is it necessary to plant them in some sort of nutrient enriched soil.(keep in mind i would be moistening the paper towels because they dry up quickly) And when you plant the seeds how far down should you plant them in the soil? thnx for any help

 

I watched a video and they put em in a bowl with water and cotton balls. That sounds like a good idea. But your method would probably work. They also sell these things called peat pots, they're like a disc and you just add water and the expand into a cylinder a little bigger than a shotglass. They work good with veggie seeds. Havent started growin weed yet tho. Gotta wait til may.
