I am always listening to music, and I have different things I listen too in different moods. Anyway, it has been tough the last couple weeks, lost my fiance and some other shit. I have found that really depressing music helps me feel better. It is weird. It used to be that I listened to punk when I was down. Now, I am listening to really slow or depressing stuff, and I am comforatble wallowing in my feelings for a while, and when I go on through the day, I feel better in general. I am currently listening to the new cure cd, a bunch of emo stuff, some beatles tunes like Let it be, Hey Jude, shit like that, and mostly older slow stuff about heartbreak and whatnot. What do you like when you are depressed?

Bob Dylan and lots and lots and lots of Beatles... I play "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" again and again... in the last three days I've played the song at least 10 times. Whatever you do, don't listen to country music... it makes things worse.

Well, I wish you good luck with your life and I hope you feel good! Happy listening and hang in there! :)

Oh yeah, forgot to mention Dylan. He makes me feel better immediately for some reason.

it must be his amazing talent for poetry! or maybe it's just his funny voice.... :) actually, his voice is comforting in a strange way...

ah, the joys of sweet music. :)

I always return to the basics. There is something about the mournful and hopeful tunes of PinkFloyd that satisfies my misery and coaxes out the lighter side. Or I cry until even I think I'm getting pathetic : )

Sould Asylum saved my life :) along with the Beatles "White Album" and a little Blind Melon when I was in middle school. Sublime and Bad Company keep me going now!! I have become quite obsessed with Bad Company in the last few months.

in the past tho, nine inch nails has been awesome, trent is like a musical father at needed times. bob marley, classic rock, maybe some tool, and definately some REALLY REALLY tripped out electronic/ambient stuff. shit from another planet.
I also feel good after spending lots of time on making some electronic music .
