I took it and got a period as usual, only it was lighter...they have been lighter ever since (but it was a year ago, so no baby)...I also broke out in spots, and theyre still taking their time to clear up. Oh, and felt tired and irritable.

Eek, hope i never have to do that again.

    Xx

P.s-Sorry to hear its scared you:( hope all returns to normal soon..Oh, n what you mean...stuff?:-S If its just clots of blood then thats fine...i get them anyway

I took the morning after pill about 2 weeks ago, got my period about 7 days later and was all normal. I did notice my skin broke out a little but nothing over the top.

If your worried you should go see your doc.
I hope we never have to do that again! I used protection but the damn thing came off

I've taken the morning after pill twice in my 5 years of being sexually active... never had a problem with it. Both times, i got my period about a week later and it was pretty normal. :)

yeah if you read the leaflet which should come with your pill, it is normal for some women to get their period sooner then normal after taking the ecp. Don't worry, it should be regular after this.

hmm I don't think that was in the leaflet..
anyway, could these bleedings have been my period then? I really doubt it cause it was nothing like my period..
ohh well I'll see what happens.. I hate taking hormones so let's hope that it never happens again! how often did you guys have a torn condom? this was our first but like I said, it really got torn in two! it wasn't like, a little rip or something.. so that kinda worries me :S

totally f'd me up made me mostly moody and emotionaly though. My eriod was very heavy one time I took it although it very much likely could have been a miscarraige as I had a positive preg test...who knows. But I would call the er and see what you should do or urgent care if they're open or even the pharmacy? heavy periods freak me out because mine is usually very light.

it is normal for a woman who takes the ecp to get her period soon afterwards. Also, it is normal for it sometimes to be heavier then usual... don't worry. What you're experiencing is normal. I doubt you need to call the er and spend money...

HOWEVER, if there is pain and it doesn't stop and something is **seriously** wrong, then go see a doctor. But just a heavier flow isn't something to be worried about if it doesn't go on for too long.
