shit, all up and down they got shops. If you wanna shop just start at Golden gate park and wander up Haight.
HAight is the commerical strip. At the corner of Haight and Ashbury is a Ben And Jerry's ice cream shop. head downhill two blocks on Ashbury and look for 710. Long ago that was the Grateful Dead's crash pad. Respect the current owners, and don't get in the yard. They are used to pix being taken there. I wonder if they knew it's history when they bought it? Plenty of "hippie" trinkets on Haight. Also check out the Red Victorian Bed and Breakfast. Ask to peek at some of the rooms. Trippy place.
I am going to San Fran tommorrow and I'm excited. I though Cali was supposed to be more leniant on marijuana. What will happen if I ask a hippie for weed on Haight? Am I going to have to go a week without a smoke?
There's a lot of kids selling weed at the entrance to the park. Don't know if it is a good deal or not. They play music @ "hippy hill" on weekends. It seems like the kids hang out in different clans. Not real friendly to visitors but I guess they're just trying to survive.
