Hi, i wanna know about long term users like 30 years+ or 10+. I have a friend whos got stoned at least every other day and he says it makes u dumb/stupid long term users really stupid? anyone know? thanks
I am in the 10+ catergory total but I would say more so regularily in the last 7-8 years...I believe it only makes you stupid if you choose it. Weed affects people really differently. Some are more mellow and introspective, others like to party, some get lazy or goofy. I have found that it energizes me, helps me to focus on everday tasks. I would say that my intelligence is a little above average, it's when you choose to stop learning and growing and don't give a fuck...that's when the stupidity hits.
My friend SL has smoked lots of pot everyday for something like 25 years. He works for NASA and is 1 smart dude (degree's from MIT & CalTech). Dr. Carl Sagan smoked pot prob. long-term. Not too long ago I met a 70-year old beatnik who's been chiefing since the 50's. He's sharp as a tack.

the stupid pot head sterotype is the worst of all the sterotypes of stoners IMO... the problem is there are too many people who were idiots when they started, and weed didnt help them, so people just assume that they were stupid to begin with
I know several people who have been doing it for 15-20+ years, some on a daily basis, and they're certainly not retards. They're probably smarter than when they started it, actually.
