so i've stumbled a bit over the last weekend
i tried using HYDRO'd marijuana in a vaporiser.
    i didnt get nothing..

    does hydro not contain THC?
    is it minimal,less then natural?

my experiences with natural are much brighter.
smoking hydro gives me a negitive 'down'.

    thoughts on hydro and natural?

Hydro means that it was grown hydroponically in a water/vitamin solution. It contains THC, and is usually better cared for than outdoors weed. However, dealers usually say something is "Hydro" to hype their product and there is no way to know if they are lieing or not.

yeah, if you smoked 'hydro' then you should be pretty high...you should've got alot more than nothing. you were probably smoking something that was not even weed if you didn't get anything at all.

the whole hydro term is bullshit IMO. you can have hydro-grown shwag next door to some indoor/outdoor super bud.

hydro is just a way to grow it, and has absolutely nothing to do with the quality.

is your vaporizer a real one or homemade? if its real then you should get at least a buzz off even shwag. im betting you got sold something that is not bud.

Hydro is usually used for big yields and fast harvest times. The true connoseur (sp?) prefers the taste and experience of organically grown soil plants. I also get way omre stoned from organic because the plant takes whatever nutrients it needs to fully develop, ie resin production and the various cannabinoids. Whereas with hydro you have to regulate the concentration more, and its easier to cause nutrient deficiencies and burn.

No they don't contain thc. In fact they don't contain much goodies at all.

like grapefruity said its prolly those hydro legal buds that are called HYDRO or whatever. at any rate, thornone is young and impressionable, its only natural

depending on where you live, hydro will mean different things. natural bud grown in the city is much less likely to be more potent than hydro, than natural ground stuff in places where there is a lot of land to grow on. hydro stuff is consistant, and potent. even though itsnot geared at making potent weed, it just ends up being very potent because of the consistency of the growing. hydro stuff has always got me more baked than natural stuff, but its very easy to believe in other places, it can be the other way around.

Bill, I was talking about plants grown indoors under lights in soil and fed organic nutrients, bat guano, etc. As far as outdoor you are definitely right about the effect on the plant with varying soil fertility and climate

People over use the word 'Hydro' EXTREEEEEEEEEMLY. Not to be racist, but black people (specificly dealers) will always say their shit is hydro, or more commonly "dro, nigga!", and its usually dirt or some such shit. Not saying white people dont do that either but damn, thats another pet peev of mine. Im sure that 1/200 people that say their shit is hydro, it is actually hydroponic weed.

Screw it, just blame canada =D

And to help those ignorant people on this thread that have no clue what they are talking about, heres a little definition of Hydroponic for ya. Have a blast.

    hy·dro·pon·ics
    n. (used with a sing. verb) Cultivation of plants in nutrient solution rather than in soil.

(Which, by the way, costs a ton of money to set up a true hydroponic system, so in other words, dont trust little jonny next door that sells and grows weed saying its hydroponic)

Generally if you are going to invest a lot of money in a good hydroponics setup you are going to put some effort into growing quality marijuana.

But weed grown this way is no better than anything else assuming it's given the same attention.

Plus, unless you are getting your bud straight from the grower you have no way to tell if it's hydroponically grown or not. Although if you care whether or not something is grown in such a way you deserve to get your ass ripped off.

Hydro has nothing to do with quality, I dont understand why this is such a hard concept for people around here to get
