i like to keep things neat down there so i trim and shave my pubes. but every time i shave after about one day the skin gets really red and irritated and i dont know what to do!!! ive tried using talc after i shave and shaving with conditioner instead of soap but nothing has helped so far. can anyone give me some advice???
That's weird. I'm not an expert at shaving, exactly, but have you tried moisturizing right after with lotion? I've never gone without moisturizing, but I imagine your skin would be irritated since 1) It's not use to that sort of thing, and 2) It's kinda sensitive. That's really all the advice I can give you, since I can't think of what else could be the problem, other than what could be some sort of reaction to the shaving cream/conditioner you're using.
Not sure if it is like this for everyone, but for me it seemed like my skin got used to it after a short while. The first few times I got razor burn, but after that I haven't had any issues. And obviously, I am not shaving a pussy, but the male area where a pussy would be if I were a girl... heh...
Is there something wrong with shaving with just bar soap? I was just wondering if you've heard something that I haven't. I do know that area is too sensitive to shave with shaving cream for me anyhow (it doesn't moisturize well enough and ends up just as effective as shaving with nothing at all. I get red bumps sometimes, too. The best way I've found to avoid them is to avoid dull razors and try to find a razor with at least 4 blades. It gets your skin the smoothest without irritating it. I use Safeguard anti-bacterial soap to shave my pubes and my armpits, but it might be too harsh for others. As for afterwards, lotion's a good idea, but avoid scented stuff if you get allergic reactions really easily. I use St. Ive's Whipped Silk for pretty much all moisturizing purposes (aside from sex, lol). How long have you been shaving? I've been shaving since I was 15 (4 years) and my skin never completely got used to it, but it did get better. If you've been shaving a long time, though, I dunno.
there is this razor I heard my ex girlfriend talk about its called the bare shavor spose to leave no bumps and u can use it anywhere but not sure just a guys oppinoin
this intrests me actually cuz my girlfriend wants to shave down there for me.. not completely but so im not choking on hair lol.. so ya what works the best?
This is what works for me.... I use the sensor excell for women (the kind where you replace the blades) and I just use soap but I always shave in the same direction the hair grows...shaving against it will cause alot of irritation. And I don't use lotion the same day I shaved because for me, lotion will cause irritation. I wait untill the next day. Good luck!
Well i havnt shaved down there for a very long time and i only did it for a while, i find it very uncomfortable and i didnt really like the look(im a dude) But i know with my face (which excludes surfaces which rub on one another) I have to use shving gel/cream cuz if i use soap/water it really gets painfully irritated and red not to mention it dosnt shave as close
Depends how long u leave it on... one of my exes used the aloe vera version and didnt... perfect result.
So how does that work? Do you just apply it and the hair falls out, or what? Sorry, I am naive as to what the product actually does.
It pretty much just dissolves the hair chemically, but the little kit comes with both a tube of the cream and a little plastic scraper thing that resembles a razor. You're supposed to leave it on for a certain amount of time, then remove it with the scrapey thing. I used Veet on my legs before and it made them burn and itch like crazy, so I'm not about to try it on anything more sensitive than them.
On Veet - there's a lot of different versions out there including ones that are specially prepped for the area... some kids seem to have a different reaction that others - probably related to the duration of contact but she didnt have any problems and the area had only very slight redness for like a half hour. Personally I think it's worth a shot.
I exfoliate with one of those fluffy, colorful sponges, you know, the ones that make soap more bubbly? I just use one of those w/ a little cleanser on the shaved area and it seems to help very much.
i tried using nair down there a few months ago. my GOD that was a mistake! major chemical burns and everything. i used the aloe vera kind, and i left it on for only about 4 minutes... but it was the most painful thing EVER! i'm not sure how different veet is from nair... but if you're at all sensitive to that kind of thing, i wouldn't recommend it. seriously.... CHEMICAL BURNS on your pussy. it sucks sooo bad!
