edward abbey said that the public lands are the most important lands in the nation, being what they were planned for that is. yes because they are beautiful and to instill aesthetic quality in the minds of boxy prevailing mindsets.. but also because they are the last refuges the Amercian people could gather if ever necessary to overthrow a gov't corrupted which since times of the great revolution the Framers remembered when penning the Constitution..
Now they are taking away our last refuge in preperation for the times to come, and Americans are going to fucking let them. blessed be

How do people who live by public lands feel about the issue.

If people in Montana think its Ok for the Feds to sell land in Montana, who am I to oppose it. Locals know best.

Where I live, Federal & State gvmt. are purchasing land left & right, its good.

Our goverment spends so much money on so many things, this is what happens. No spending restraint.

yea it is all messed up.

    Like who owns nature?

For example oil corporations are making record profits and yet they get record tax cuts while people suffer from high gas prices and many are poor where this oil is produced. Does this resource belong to the people or some corporation and few elite. Who does the corporation pay to take that oil from nature? The government? It doesn't seem like it is, the people? how when they are charging record prices.
