So, I'm going to start getting piercings like I've always had an inkling to. I'm starting off with a simple earring, but I have some questions about other forms of peircery.

Lip rings and tongue studs: do those suckers ever make it difficult to do stuff like eat, drink, or kiss? I know it takes a week or two to heal, but what about after that? I also have these disturbing visions of getting them caught in things and causing gross damage to myself, seeing as how utterly clumsy I am...

Anything else I ought to know from those who know better, before I dive into turning myself into a human pincushion?:D

When I got my tongue pierced, eating and drinking was difficult for about a week, but other than that I've never had any problems with my tongue or lip piercings.

Yes. Piercings are very addictive. :D

my first lip ring made eating quite annoying the first day.. but i was trying to eat things like donuts and pies.. and had quite a large ring.. so meh

and it takes longer than a week or two to heal, but ater that time itl probaly seem perfect. keep up aftercare longer though.

and for your earing, while its generally much cheaper, i can only strongly recommend against getting it pierced with a gun. theyre just, bad. lol.. needle approach is so much better for your body, and well, a CBR is so much prettier than a sleeper lol

I had a lip stud, I took it off for a few hours and couln't get it back in... i got really frustrated, I loved it.
the first few days i had dificulty eating cause the size was too big so it would get hooked on my teeth as I chewd and talked... bet when i changed it to a smaller one i had no probs at all.
kissing felt great ;) my boy used to pull on it hehe
just make sure you get the right size and don't take it out until it heals completely cause you may not be able to get it back in...
I think i might get mine done again today :)
    I miss it too much

Yaaa, I just got my right earlobe done to start, with a gun no less and haven't had a single prob yet. Maybe it's different with other body parts besides the earlobe, though, I dunno.

I love the way it looks. I saw a girl at the convenience store today with a nose-bridge barbell, I should've asked her about it, it looked way cool.

I think I might do a tongue stud next.

Forget that, how the hell do people develop the stones (no pun intended) necessary for genital piercing?

They're braver than me, thats for sure.
