Getting nose peirced? Does or doesn't hurt, and how much?

I want to get my nose peirced this Spring or summer. One person told me it hurt like hell, and another person told me it didn't at all. Does it or doesn't hurt, and if it hurts how much pain is there?

 

im assuming youre talking about your nostril? i do not have my nostrils pierced, but i've had my septum done. i do not think its hurts. and the septum is much more sensitive than the nostil, so i would say, no it wouldnt hurt. it may cost $40-$65 depending on the shop, the the quality of jewelry. i see youre in ithaca, are you familiar with the shop scarab? thats one of the best in the country, i recomend going there.

I just got my nose re-pierced about a month ago... it didn't hurt that bad even though he pierced through scar tissue from my previous piercing. The first time I got it done, it didn't hurt at all.

 

its different for everyone. and here's proof. i passed out when i got my septun done, but i was also very young and not as tough as i am now.

 

I pierced my own nose with an ear piercer when I was 14. I don't recommend it, but it didn't hurt too bad at all. I'm assuming having a professional do it would hurt even less.

 

did hurt, not bad though. Only really was noticeably painful when the piercer put the ring in, the needle itself didn't hurt at all, just forcing the ring into the spot lol.

 

pain is subjective...what one person experiences won't be the same for you necessarily.
but you will obviously feel something...its a piece of metal going through you.
Personally, I think its part of the fun. If piercings were painless, I'd have less interest in them.
But to answer your question - yes it did hurt i suppose, but I enjoyed the pain. I've had much more painful piercings than my nostril

 

haha, yeah i hear ya man. i had mine dp'd at 9.5mm with a smile on my face. but when i stretched to 7/16ths i cried like a little girl. different people handle different types of pain differently. (wow, i used different three times in one sentence)

 

haha. yeah. i actually liked stretching it. but the initial piercing hurt me. weird.

 

my friends who got it said it hurt. But as stated above, everyone is different.

 

I've had mine done twice... I guess my nose is hard cause mine hurt like hell hahaha but I enjoyed it anyway
the second time it went through scar tissue, hurt less but bled ALOT...
just please remember not to get it done with a gun...
and take good care of it... my first one got this horrible bump on it, looked like a wart... yuk... so I took it out
