He's one of the most criminally under rated guitarists ever in my opinion... I don't think it would be too far out there to claim him as the best white blues player..

So much feel and what a tone! [IMG] Didn't need to play fast and flashy to impress..

    definititely. couldnt agree more.

If you like blues, listen to John Hammond (Sr or Jr).

Eh, Clapton, Jeff Beck are probably definitely better. But he is up there, the pre Stevie Nicks stuff like Pious Bird of Good Omen was definitely headed someplace good....until Stevie Nicks ruined a perfectly wonderfull blues band.

Before the LSD Peter Green was one of the best. He still does a great job. But that early line up of Fleetwood Mac was something else.

I could not agree more! When Green met the Grateful Dead they turn him on to LSD. Some real clean stuff, more than likely some stuff from Dr. Tim. Anyway, Green went crazy and for yrs. was in a nut hospital. One time he threw his agent out of a window because the agent tried to give him some money.

Green is making music again with The Splinter Group

I got the DVD! A very in-depth account of his story with lengthy interviews with Peter himself and the rest of the band (apart from Danny Kirwan).

I only know one album of the Splinter group. A great collection with Robert Johnson songs: The Robert Johnson songbook. :) Anybody dig that one as well?
