elton john - tiny dancer but its not a omg its so sad kinda crying, but more like, aaaah memories, crying with a smile on your face.
smashing pumpkins - 33 john lennon - imagine depeche mode - the love thieves u2 - one nine inch nails - a warm place chopin - nocturne in E minor
Thats exactly what I had when I started this thread. I smiled and cried at the beauty of the bravery and heroism in the song.
Dire Straits - you and your friends (live) /well i've been let down a couple of times, and this song hooks in right at that. "are you gonna come around, or are you gonna let me down" But the absolute tearjerker of alltimes Bob Marley - Redemption Songs (acoustic version) everytime i could wheep! and have. this song is ultraspecial for me, i recantly lost one of my best friends, and this song....-*sniff sniff* excuse me....
all roads lead to bob marley... He was a rasta, Bob marley was his father. we played Redemption songs at his funerall, the music was my task, since we had many discussions about life, death & music. that song the acoustic version is just so huanting, with that beautifull intermezzo & then the lyrics a agian...so magical Porthishead was also played... It's a fire... I want that to be played at my funeral aswell for my sister
It's a fire, These dreams they pass me by, The salvation I desire, Keeps getting me down. 'Cause we need to, Recognize mistakes, For time and again. So let it be known, For what we believe in, I can see no reason, For it to fail. 'Cause this life is a farce, I can't breathe through this mask, Like a fool, So breathe on, sister, breathe on. From this oneself, Testify or tell, It's fooling us now, So let it be known, For what we believe in, I can see no reason, For it to fail. 'Cause this life is a farce, I can't breathe through this mask, Like a fool So breathe on, little sister, breathe on, Oh, so breathe on, little sister, breathe on
Melanie Safka - Beautiful people hits me almost everytime i hear it: You live in the same world as I do But somehow I never noticed You before today I'm ashamed to say Beautiful people We share the same back door And it isn't right We never met before But then We may never meet again If I weren't afraid you'd laugh at me I would run and take all your hands And I'd gather everyone together for a day And when we gather'd I'll pass buttons out that say Beautiful people Then you'd never have to be alone 'Cause there'll always be someone With the same button on as you Include him in everything you do. Beautiful people You ride the same subway As I do ev'ry morning That's got to tell you something We've got so much in common I go the same direction that you do So if you take care of me Maybe I'll take care of you Beautiful people You look like friends of mine And it's about time That someone said it here and now I make a vow that some time, somehow I'll have a meeting Invite ev'ryone you know I'll pass out buttons to The ones who come to show Beautiful people Never have to be alone 'Cause there'll always be someone With the same button on as you Include him in ev'rything you do He may be sitting right next to you He may be beautiful people too And if you take care of him Maybe I'll take care of you And if you take care of him Maybe I'll take care of you...
only 3 songs i can think of first: from beatles - yesterday and eleanor rigby i listen to them when i fail when i feel realy down and i cry it's very releasing them from my native country song Suojelus Enkeli (translates guarding angel) i like mostly cover by viikate it's song in finnish it's a special song since my mother used to sing it to me when i was young and it allways reminds me of my childhood wich is bith bad and good.
The one song I can remember shedding a tear on when listening to was Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt. *edit* Wish you Were Here had never really made me choke up before, but at the Live 8 concert, finally getting to see Pink Floyd together, and with Roger dedicating it to Syd, that did make me choke up a little bit.
oh its SO OBVIOUS....cause u know me!!!!! does that mean i should be mad that a close personal friend like you forgot about my father who died when i was 21?
Black Muddy River by the dead. last song jerry ever sang with the dead, and its just beautiful and the lyrics are so emotional. if u hear the live version of his last performance, he fucks up a lot which makes it even more emotional.
