ok i live in texas and im 18 but ill be taking a trip this next coming summer when i graduate with my gf. we plan on doing whatever we want to do and go wherever we want to go. but yea. what kinda things would yall suggest. like places to go and things to do. also transportation and shelter. we want to drive but we dont know what with yet. we also want to be able to sleep in the car or in a camper or something. any help?
we did'nt really have a problem sleeping 4 people in a van... so a car would probably work just fine for 2 people... so theirs your transportation and shelter right there... unless you want somethin fancy oh uhmm... lets see yer in texas, maybe you can go find some peyote in a desert nearby, if yer into that kindof thing. or maybe you can go to florida and go 'shroom huntin...or california isnt too far, san diego was an awesome place from what i remember, i'm sure the rest is just as good and some places are even better though. pretty easy to score there too, from my experience...
hahah well im going with my gf so that doesnt matter. and yea i kinda want to bring a van but coming out of highschool and saving for the trip i dont think ill have the money for one
to make money along the way... this worked for us in most places going from virginia to california, we spent all of our 400 dollars before we even left verginia ... so we were atta gas station and i got the idea to tell some lady we were trying to get home in the next state, and we had ran out of gas and money... and she gave me a 5 dollar bill, and i did it again, and even got 10 and 20 dollar bills, and some people would just fill our tank up. oh, i remember one guy we asked at a burger king had just gotten paid, and handed us two 20s... but with some places, it just would not work... we would get spare change or nothing at all.
ive acually been looking to buy an old vw bus. a baywindow from 69-79. the only problem i had was if itd be reliable. i understand these things were built for that but after a few decades i think things may turn to the worst so what do you suggest

the way i see it, it was like a blessing to us... for having the balls to pull the stunt we did, and live the free life for a while... and as for the van thing, i dont know if they work or not man, i am sure some do, and some probably dont. just getta regular van man, you don't need that xtra attention neways..
ay ay, come over to Europe and get a knackered VW van here and do some sightseeing. I just got back from Italy and I'm off to Budapest in a month. Hoping to get to America next year too.
