i think i got a job today. i applied to so many things and only got a response from a supermarket which was my plan Z choice.. so i was getting desperate. but something else came up! and i had the interview today and well she was talking to me as if i was already part of the team so its looking good billy. what was your first job?
my frist job i actually applied and went through with the interview process: promotions assitant at the new england aquarium in boston...basically, i gave out coupons for the aquarium in high tourist traveled places... hope you get the job!
lol thanks! it was annoying coz so many places want experience. especially retail. how hard is it to swipe a credit card and assist customers! my first job was as a viewing assistant at an auction house
i gave out coupons that summer...i had absolutely no contact with any animals i got fired from that job next summer, worked for the aquarium and worked as an outreach person...bascially, took sea creatures to camp groups, and taught them about sea life, enivronmental issues, simple marine biology....ya know, fun stuff.
my first job..... was at a dentist office, cleaning out the offices when the dentist was done... like clearing away the tools and stuff.
my first job was just a temporary one (seasonal work for a week lol) transplating plants from their growing packages to nice premade potted arrangements my first regular job was at Cookies by George - made cookies, muffins and coffee, and sold it to people. That was a great freakin job, my manager was awesome... I stayed there for two years
my first job was picking fruits and vegetables on the local farm - did that for a couple of summers my first two years of high school
my first real job is the same one i have now...i serve icecream at a creamery. i complain about it buts it not really that bad, i get all the free icecream i want and i work with my friends
I've just been in the same position recently....I got called up about the job and the lady introduced me to everyone, talked to me about shit not to do with the job as well as what hours I wanted to do etc, so I thought I had it in the bag...I think I still do have it, its been hard chasing her up though because shes really busy renovating. Im sure that wont happen to you though My first job, not counting a paper run, was at a bakery. I iced buns and took muffins out of trays for about $5-$6 NZ an hour (practically slave labour rates). I was 14 and it was (still is I believe) illegal to hire someone that young, so I was pretty lucky to even have a regular paying job.
My first job was being a rennie Selling various crap at a renaissance festival. It was quite fun as I could party as much as I want and be as trashed as I wanted and do almost no actual work and it made no real difference. Plus I got free food and drinks and crap.
yeah it was a bit like that! she was telling me the stuff id need to buy and what hours and pay and everything.. and at the end she said when something comes up she'll call me and we'll work it out from there.. so i was kinda thinking, so i got the job.. or not!? she was saying she needs really reliable people and im thinking thats meeeee! but hard to prove it in an interview. she also mentioned me cutting my hair to chin length which id do but damn i hope it wouldnt look awful. anyway i just have to wait n see if she calls....
est part was drunk people who'd wander off without their change. I was $500 over one day. Too bad I was too damn stoned to notice. :&
Well congratulations ruski, that's great news! My first job was babysitting. I did a lot of that. Made good money doing it too actually. The parents all loved me and paid me quite well.
my first job was as a waitress in a small cafè in the village I lived in. bitch paid me $5.50 an hour - minimum wage is $5.40 an hour. She thought she was being generous.
