my valentine's creation for my wife

I know this is a little different than most stuff on here, but hey, it's definitely a craft! My wife loved this rose and that's what made it all worth it. This picture doesn't really show off the petals on the inside, but maybe you can make them out?

Oh that's so beautiful! Making something yourself is so heartfelt. I know when my hubby has made me gifts that it really touches me even moreso than a storebought gift, because it really comes from the heart, and he put his time and love into it.

It's hard to find time to work on this stuff. I have so many ideas and not enought time. Thanks for all the kind words! It is hard to make this stuff with the tools I have, and to hear people dig it is awesome. My wife always finds four leaf clovers everytime she looks down, and I am in the act of making her one out of wood also. I'll post it as soon as I'm done. I guess I should post a pic of the mushroom I made (even though, don't laugh, it started out as an elephant!)

That is purely awesome... I wish I could woodwork...

 

surely if i can, so can anyone else! All it takes is some wood (all I use is wood that is already downed), a hand saw, dremel tool, and sandpaper. I have to use other peoples big tools though, they're way expensive .Give it a whirl and see what happens!
