I'm a tattoo virgin {blush}

My dh has them, some of my freinds have them. I like the way they look and have a pretty good idea what I want. I was planning on getting at least one in the winter of 99, and found out I was pregnant, then ended up breastfeeding for almost five years.

My dh is also looking for a new place to get inked again. The place which did his original work got bought by someone new. He went in a few months ago, and he said the place was not clean, the dude behind the counter couldn't even find the Flash Books and he just got a bad feeling about it. So he left.

We are looking for a good tattoo shop, in the western suburbs of Chicago. If anyone has a good CLEAN place, which does original art, please let me know.

We would both like to get some art done on our bodies.

It's just common Bulletin Board, Internet Forum shorthand. I guess I was under the impression it was common usage. Haven't been asked about the shorthand since about 1998, except from n00bs. (That's for newbies.)

Anyway, anybody know a good shop in the Western burbs of Chicago?

ian and emilly are real good.i use ian.hes done ove 40 hours on me and about 7 on my wife.verry clean and profetional about things.his price is great allso,espeially if you tell him i sent you and your comin from Chicago.
my wife starts her full back piece next month with ian and i start my other sleeve wiuth ian in april.good luck,and im happy to see folks doin some reserch befor they go in.

Thank you. We have a lot of kids, and taking a road trip isn't an option. Chicago and the burbs have a lot of shops, but I wondered if anyone around here knows of a really good, artistic, original, clean shop is.

Thanks for the info, though. We are also bout an hour or more west of Chicago, so it would be minimum 12 hours in the car to get to Iowa. Don't think I can do that.
