I was just wondering why everyone is alright with two girls kissing or having a relationship and its considered "hot". But it is considered nasty for two men to be together. I have nothing against gays or lesbians but really?
It's just a theory, but it might have something to do with the way that women still aren't considered equal to men by enough people. A man who has sex with a man is thought to be doing something that is beneath him. When some people think of two men having sex, they immediately assume anal sex. They think of it as something men do to brutalize each other in prison.
Because lesbo action is considered hotter. As to why, it's the difference between men and women. It's still considered less acceptable for women to talk about sex, sexual fantasy and so on in public, so there's less people speaking up for guy-on-guy than girl-on-girl. If women talked about how hot they find gay guys getting bizzay in the public domain, it'd probably do a lot for equality. But they won't, because they're trying to maintain the illusion that they're more sophisticated than men in that way.
A nice clean butt hole is prettier to me than a pussy, any day! All that loose, oddly colored flesh flapping around. I don't hate vaginas, but if you can say an ass hole is ugly, well fair enough, so's a vagina. But I know some straight dudes and Lesbians who love 'em. To each his own. The main reason for the lesbian fascination is mostly the fear straight guys have of being turned on by watching another guy have sex. (like hellopeople said) So straight dudes are asserting their straightness by being "into" lesbians. (there's also the element of 'conversion' which plays into dominance roles) Women, on the other hand, tend to be more open about bisexuality; even if they aren't interested, they could entertain the idea and aren't as turned off by watching another woman get it on. As I said in another thread, women just aren't as turned on by porno pictures. I'm sure that when it comes to erotica, most women when offered gay male porn would think, "But why?" Women who look at porn seem to have less of a problem projecting themselves into the scenario. And I'm kinda glad straight women aren't into gay porn. I'm like those straight boys in a way, if I get to thinking that there might be a woman somewhere watching this same movie and . . . well, I'm going to lose wood. p.s. I just want to add a couple more things. 1) This is a fairly recent phenomena. You weren't seeing this kind of interest in lesbian sex in the 1890s. It has become obsessive like an over done Jay Leno joke. This is what guys are suppose to lust over, so every frat boy wants a three way with two women now. 2) This grew from the porn industry. It's easier to shoot two women having sex than a man and woman, because you gotta wait for the man to get hard. The first lesbian scenes in straight sex films were extenders, not the main attraction. But straight men responded to that, as I said above, because it did not challenge their heterosexuality as male to female sex did. (if they're watching a man having sex and they get horny, well even if the man is having sex with a women, what does that mean about them?) 3) I think a lot of women (and some men) look at this in the wrong way. It isn't just conceptual, it's a visual. Men are visually stimulated. A straight man thinks, "two titties are nice to look at," four titties is a bonus. Everything else is just hype and people falling prey to the hype. I'll agree that there is the dominance element of 'conversion', but I don't believe that's what fueled the recent phenomena, it only added to it. .
So all those porn movies which have a girl being ploughed in every available orifice by 18 cocks are... what? Arthouse cinema?
in my personall opinion,, being heterosexual.. i was raised with older sisters,, ive spent much of my life much more comfortable with women than men.. that being said.. i feel its a natural and inbedded thing for women to be atracted to eachother.. it just seems natural for two women to touch fondle carress eachother.. i have no problem with it.. yer average male is much more anamalistic,, the softness of touch the genuine love for the situation rareley is there when you witness it in public.. its more like a show to provoke whith two males in my opinion.. although ,,honestley i feel any public display of affection be it gay lesbian or heterosexual is uncalled for..
. While I haven't seen those flicks, I assume they exist for the kind of man who is fixated on the adolescent vision of woman as "whore." To that individual the presence of other men confirms his perspective. There is also the cuckold fetishist who wishes his partner to have sex with another man. I was talking about the general straight male reaction to porn. It seems argumentative for you to point out the obvious exceptions. .
People (well, Queen Victoria, anyway) didn't believe in lesbians in the 1890s. I'm personally still not convinced it's not just a big hoax. I can see that there's a degree of demand on the heterosexual male to like that sort of thing simply because if you don't like it you must be gay. But to be honest, it's kind of true. I'd be suspicious of any straight guy who couldn't see how two pairs of tits are twice as good as one (unless perhaps he was completely innumerate, but even then). Whether 2 + 2 = 5 is perhaps a harder question to answer. I see where you're coming from. I mean, if it weren't for pornography capitalising on the willingness of some girls, how many guys would ever have actually seen two girls getting bizzay together? I don't think it's got that much to do with fashion at all, really, it's just been easier and easier with growing sexual experimentation and rising university tuition fees to find girls who'll Sapph it up on screen. I think it's all about personal taste. I know perfectly well-adjusted, sexually comfortable straight guys who like gay/bisexual porn, but who have no desire to experiment with other guys. There's all sorts of factors really. For example, most of the porn I own depicts heterosexual sex, whereas I find gay porn a bit of a turn-off. I'm as far from bi as they come.
Just when I thought I heard it all. Haven't met those kind of straight guys up here in the mindwest. But then somebody once told me that all English dudes are gay. Well, I know it ain't true, but I still like the idea of it. Oh, and you're a gay dude who loves straight porn but dislikes gay sex ...er I mean gay porn. And didn't you once ask me why I thought you were a closet case? Never mind. I'm just listening. .
Actually, the guy in question is from New Zealand, so see you there. While I've never been to America, I gather that all the stuff about it being Babylon rebuilt is actually bollocks, and that once you leave New York no-one has enough neck to suck dick. I might be way off on that one. But I think things are a bit less straight/gay/bi here. There's less and less of the "if you ever do anything gay you can't call yourself straight ever ever ever again" vibe. I don't think I'd ever mentioned it before. And I'm now not sure whether you think I'm a closet homo or a closet hetero. I mean, it's not like I watch it in company or anything. More than anything, it's because the guys in straight porn are generally more my type. All the gay porn I've seen, the guys are either ridiculously over-groomed or complete Eurotrash. Just doesn't do it for me. I'd generally rather be doing it than watching it, because I know it feels a lot better than it looks.
As an American, I can vouch for the reality that once you leave New York you can find someone with enough neck to suck dick. The "if you ever do anything gay you can't call yourself straight ever ever ever again" vibe is real, at least for some people in some places. Gay porn usually doesn't do much for me, either. Sex is fun, but I tend to get off more on the stuff that comes right before and right after sex...the talking, the cuddling, etc. Porn has little use for that.
That works on two levels, by the way: 1) it feels fucking awesome. 2) it looks like a human car crash.
Hm.. I think gay porn (with guys) is hot. Turns me on just as much as girl on girl. Actually, I've never watched porn. What I mean is, the thought it turns me on. The thought of it includes visualizing...
As I read the responses here, I suspect that "straight" guys get turned on by the idea of a woman who is so available. The thinking might be along the lines of "She'll even do a woman...I've got a chance with her!" They may tend to think of women's purpose as being to please men. From what I've read and heard, lesbians are at least more likely than heterosexual women to be indifferent to men--not necessarily hostile, but indifferent. As a result, pleasing some man is not what makes a lesbian's world go around. These guys also tend to think of women as creatures to be used. Being used is not a good thing, as far as they are concerned. They do not want to be used. The idea of being used by another man is particularly repulsive to them. Of course, I hasten to add that sex of any variety isn't necessarily all about using someone. Even when people are using each other, things can even out quite nicely.
I see what you're saying. My problem is that I have seen it, and it's not what I visualise. But even in terms of visualisation, I can go for straight or gay porn. I just put myself in the woman's shoes.
I think it's necessary to distinguish between pornography and sex, what men jerk off over and what they'd actually want to fuck. Most guys like the idea of women being sexually liberated, but when they're looking for a girlfriend or partner, they're more likely to want someone who is faithful, less "loose"; in other words, a dilligent mother to their children.
