Well I also don't understand people who quit smoking over the night without reason. There was one time when I had a little overdosed with weed, but that was because we were smoking it all days long. And it got a little too much for me, because I didn't do anything else and I got VERY lazy. :)
But now when we smoke it in normal quantities I don't believe I will ever be sick of it.
IMO it is the best drug known to man as long as you aren't wasted all day, every day.

i decided it was not worth it over a year ago. my main reasons were that I got too high a few times and hated my life when it happened. It was not fun at all and i just wanted to come down. That seemed to happen to me more often than not. If i smoke now the only way i like to is if i take like 2 hits max off a blunt or smoke a joint w/ someone w/ tobacco in it. Also, i look at the kids i used to hang out a lot w/ in high school that exclusively smoke weed. They call me up and ask if i wanna blaze at like 11 pm and they pretty much drive around the block for 20 minutes and then go home. How fucking boring is that? If i hang out w/ them now i will come over w/ a case of beer or something and i'll look like a weirdo b/c i'mi the only one drinking. needless to say, i don't really enjoy hanging out w/ them at all anymore. they never go out at night, they just sit at their houses and smoke. fuckin gay. third reason is that i just much enjoy drinking now as opposed to smoking. i used to be about 50/50 in high school...pot was easier to get. drinkign is a much more social behavior in my opinion and if you are under 21 and caught the penalties are generally more lenient. also, when you drink, you can regulate what you are consuming (ie - 12 oz beer is like 3-6 percent (light/regular/ice) and you'll start to feel the effects come on more slowly and steadily and can stop if you want. with pot, knowing the exact potency is difficult and w/ me it would usually hit me like a ton of bricks, all at once and then you had no option but to be high as hell and feel like shit. well that's my rant.

true fleece, but one must remember: being high and being drunk are two totally different experiences (i find high = more spiritua/calming, while drunk = more hyper/making an ass of yourself). Nothing wrong with drinking, but I enjoy a nice high more then a nice...uhh...drunk?
    just my opinion though

high = paranoia, cottonmouth (for me)
drunk = jovial, relaxed, more apt to social activity, able to fall asleep quickly, and sometimes petty crime. heh

i like getting high better than getting drunk. when i drink i just get really dizzing and barf on people. the thing i like about weed, is when it almost gets too intense to handle, thats the most fun part for me. plus you dont really get any visuals with beer.

    yea.

well that may just be due to low tolerance. the getting real dizzy part used to happen to me when i was 16 or so. i don't think i have ever vomited on another person.

i don't remember getting any visuals with weed. from what i've heard you have to graduate to shrooms for visuals/tracers.

yazzer, yea you can't get sick of it until you chain smoke a lot. Like you said, don't abuse, and you probably wouldn ever get sick of it.
And I get visual distortions when I'm drunk, probably due to all the psychedelic use.

i havnt got sick of it, but it has been less enjoyable, when smoking constantly. some people cant handle the weed caus it messes with their heads after a while, and switch to drinking, or onto pills and speed and stuff. thats usually the case with most of my friends who have 'gotten over weed'. lol but i seem to have the magical aura to get people to smoke again after a long time
