He is back in Colorado...that's where he was stationed before he went to Iraq. The minute his plane landed and he realized he was "free" he ran out to buy a bottle of whiskey.....then afterwards he called his dad & sister to let them know that he made it back to the USA..all in 1 piece Thank god, and I hope he doesn't have to ever go back.
WOOOHOOOOO!!!! alRIGHT. that's just great. i love homecomings. my cousin is still in iraq, narrowly escaped death twice now. we're keeping our fingers crossed.
He was in Iraq for about a year.....to damn long in my opinion....and for what???? But then my son & I don't always agree (but at least he ain't enlisting when his time is up, so I guess war taught him something)...we even disagree on drinks cuz I would have got vodka not whiskey
He used to ski quite a bit... but while stationed in Iraq, he was able to visit home for 1 1/2 weeks in NH and said that NH was to cold so it may take him awhile to get used to weather again in Colorado.
this is wonderful news squakers!! tell him thank you for me! my nephew is due back in the beginning of April. He has been really bummed out since his buddy got blown up by a suicide bomber. Says this is worse than when he was over there last year. He has decided to re-inlist for an extra five months so he can go on a float instead of going back to Iraq.
